How is secondment different from outstaffing or contracting?
Secondment is a structured engagement where the engineer is fully embedded in your team for a defined duration (typically 3–24 months) with the explicit option to convert to FTE. Outstaffing is similar but typically open-ended and not converted. Contracting is short-term, project-based work without team integration.
How long is a typical secondment?
Most engagements run 6–12 months. Minimum 3 months, maximum 24 months. Most clients convert their seconded engineers to full-time within the first year.
Can I convert a seconded engineer to a full-time hire?
Yes. There is no buyout fee or conversion charge. We facilitate the transition and the engineer can start as a direct or EOR-managed FTE the next month.
How much does secondment cost?
Transparent monthly pricing based on the engineer's seniority and country. Senior engineers typically range from $3,000–$8,000/month all-inclusive. No upfront fees.
Do I manage the seconded engineer day-to-day?
