Download and install the MacSonik PDF Data Extractor Tool, then launch it on your System
Now, click the File icon or Folder icon from the PDF File section to browse your PDF File(s). Then, click Open to add your selected PDF file(s).
Once PDF files are imported, Double-click on the PDF file you want to preview. You have the following options to preview PDF Content:
Preview Image and Text: View the complete content of the PDF, including both text and embedded images, in a single preview window.
You can remove any selected PDF file by clicking the Remove Icon, or remove every imported file by Remove All Icon.
Attachments: To extract embedded attachments, choose the Attachment filter. You can specify the file size using the Up to or More Than options and enable Create a Folder for Each PDF File to organize attachments neatly.
Text: Click on the Text filter to extract textual content from your PDF files. Choose a preferred format, such as TEXT, to save the extracted content.
With the Page Filter, you can extract data from specific pages. Options include All Pages, Even Pages, Odd Pages, Page Range, or Page Number. This filter can be applied to text and other extraction components like images, bookmarks, comments, and hyperlinks.
Images: Select the Images filter and select your desired format, such as JPEG. If necessary, use the Page Filter to choose only images on the selected pages.
Bookmark: Use the Bookmark filter to extract bookmarks from your PDF file and save them in your preferred output format.
Comments: Click the Comment filter to extract comments or other user annotations from your PDF. Select an output format (example, HTML) and use the Page filter if necessary.
HyperLink: Click on the HyperLink filter to extract URLs found in your PDF file. You can select the output format, for example, DOCX, and apply the Page Filter.
MetaData: Click on the Metadata filter to retrieve the document properties (example, the author, or the creation date...). Select your output format (example, PDF) to save the data from the metadata.
If you want to skip PDF data that has already been extracted, check the box that says Skip Previously Processed Data. The tool will then filter and extract only the newly added or unprocessed data from your PDF files. Once ready, click Extract to proceed.
To choose a specific location for saving the extracted data, simply uncheck the Skip Previously Processed Data and click the Extract button.
Finally, select your preferred Destination Folder. Press Choose to save all extracted components in the chosen format and location.
This section guides users to complete the data extraction of password-protected PDFs. First, follow the steps 01-02 of How to Extract Data from a PDF? section to add the PDF to the Software. After that, follow the following steps.
Now, click the Lock icon to enter your password-protected PDF file(s) password(s). A Password Pooling dialog box will appear on your screen.
Choose the Input Password option to manually enter the passwords for your protected PDF files. After entering each password, click Add to include it in the password list.
Select Upload CSV >> Select CSV to browse and add a CSV file containing passwords for your secured PDF files.
Finally, select the relevant passwords from the list and click Apply to unlock your PDF files. You may remove any unnecessary passwords before proceeding.
