The Antwerp is a pullover with a V-neck, an (optional) kangaroo front pocket, dropped shoulders for a slightly oversized (but not too oversized) fit, long sleeves, and a curved shirt-tail hem with more coverage in the back. Sewing 101 Intensive

Singer Featherweight Maintenance and Repair Workshop

If you don't think of yourself as an expert repair person or mechanically inclined, you will be pleasantly surprised to learn you can maintain your Singer Featherweight yourself! This is an in depth hands-on class that most featherweight owners are going to want to take to keep their machine running for years. You will disassemble the machine, cleaning and lubricating each area as you go. Amanda will cover a brief history of the Singer Featherweight. She will showcase a few vintage machines. Amanda will emphasize the bobbin area showing where the threads collect, issues unique to the featherweight, oiling frequency, motor maintenance, how to get rid of that "vintage" odor, and polishing the painted surface. You will learn how to correctly use the XL ruler to save time cutting all your projects. We'll tackle the Back Home table topper to cut out, then will learn to make flying geese and trim them up.

Diamonds are a Quilters Best Friend - Krista Moser Lecture and Trunk Show

Join us as we welcome Krista Moser to KC Maker Studio. Krista will start off her visit this night with a wonderful reception and trunk show that you won't want to miss. Krista tells her story, how she started very young and went on to design her own quilts and patterns. She'll share design concepts and color theory while showing different quilts. She loves to do Q&A, so come with your questions! Her quilts are fabulous and you'll learn so much just by hearing her lecture and seeing her quilts.
