Thrift Flipping

Thrift Flipping

Mend it. Hack it. Wear it again.

Ready to take control of your closet? This hands-on class will teach you the essential sewing skills every modern sewist needs to extend the life of their wardrobe. We’ll start with simple techniques for taking apart and reworking thrifted clothing and textiles. You’ll learn how to make easy changes like shortening, resizing, adding elastic, or turning one item into something completely new. Every garment is different, so what you learn is up to you and what pieces you bring in to alter! We’ll guide you step-by-step and offer lots of ideas along the way.

Whether you're patching up your favorite jeans or upcycling the skirt you scored at the thrift shop, or just want to feel more confident with a needle and thread, Thrift Flipping will leave you empowered to handle everyday mending with style and ease.
