Collaborative Aspiration for NextGen Transit Moves to Next Phase
We have long been devoted to serving our neighbors with transportation services and are deeply connected to our community. We are always looking for ways to best serve our community and support other organizations in the same endeavor.
A plan to evolve transportation services, called the Next Generation Transit Project, is a community aspiration that has been researched extensively by Southwest Region Planning Commission (SWRPC) and Monadnock Regional Coordinating Council for Community Transportation (MRCC), to address gaps in service and improve transit access across the Monadnock Region, including changes to service delivery in the Keene area.
The plans that recommend service delivery changes in the Keene area require a company that specializes in transportation to make the financial investment required, which means that if the service model moves forward, HCS will no longer provide transportation services. SWRPC, MRCC, HCS, and committee of other key community stakeholders are currently assessing the feasibility of the new service as they look for vendors that can provide this service.
There are no changes planned for HCS’s existing transportation services. We will continue to provide the same consistent, reliable transportation that you need. HCS will remain fully engaged to ensure that ongoing transportation services are provided.
We will update this page over the coming months. Please check back for updates.
