Sustainability in Education
AmCham Education & Vocational Working Group IV Committee meeting
The AMCHAM Education & Vocational Working Group IV Committee meeting on Sustainability in Education brought together leading voices from both the education and industry sectors for a purposeful and forward-looking exchange. The session was facilitated by Dilara Jafarli from NEQSOL Holding, who guided a dynamic discussion focused on practical alignment and long-term impact. Participants explored how sustainability can be meaningfully embedded into integrated educational systems, how strategic partnerships between schools and industry can be strengthened, and how structured, real-world exposure can better prepare students for evolving professional landscapes.
Key themes included aligning career pathways with sustainability-driven sectors and recognizing the combined importance of AI literacy and sustainability literacy as core competencies for future-ready learners, school leaders, and company executives alike.
Sustainability in education is not a standalone initiative; it is a strategic direction that calls for cross-sector collaboration, shared responsibility, and sustained commitment to shaping resilient and future-oriented systems.
