How to Repair SQL Files Using DRS Softech SQL Database Recovery Software

The DRS Softech SQL Database Recovery Tool is designed to fix corrupted SQL Server MDF and NDF files and restore your database safely. The interface is kept simple so even new users can operate it without any technical difficulty. Follow this step-by-step guide to recover your SQL database easily.

Step-by-Step Tutorial to Repair Corrupt SQL Files

Step 1: Download and install the DRS SQL Database Recovery Tool. After installation, right-click and run it as Administrator.

Step 2: Now, click on Open and add your corrupted MDF files. Hit the Browse button and choose your corrupted MDF file from your system.

Step 3: Then, choose the Recovery Modes from the Standard and Advanced.

Step 4: If your MDF file belongs to SQL Server 2000, select the SQL 2000 option. If not, leave it unchecked

Step 5: You can enable Show Deleted Records or Show Advanced Deleted Records to restore tables that were recently deleted.

Step 6: If you're unsure about the file collation, select Auto-detect. Also, if you already know the collation, choose Manual and enter it.

Step 7: Select the path for the log files and click OK to move ahead.

Step 8: After scanning, the tool will display all recoverable database objects in a tree structure on the left side. Select the items you want to restore and click Save.

Step 9: In the saving wizard, select SQL Server Database as the destination.

Step 10: Choose one of the two options:

  • Windows Authentication
  • Server Authentication: Enter your SQL username and password

Step 11: Choose Export Options:

  • Export with Schema and Data
  • Export with Only Schema
  • Do Not Save Table Constraints

Step 12: Click OK to start saving your repaired SQL database.
