Affiliate With CSSA
The Connecticut State Soccer Association (CSSA) affiliates adult leagues and clubs across Connecticut to support organized, sanctioned play. Affiliation provides access to governance support, insurance standards, referee oversight, and pathways to state, regional, and national competition.


Before applying, confirm that your organization meets CSSA’s minimum requirements.
You must:

Operate at least 6 teams or 40 registered players

Be legally organized (e.g., incorporated or LLC)

Have a defined governance structure

Certificate of Insurance (COI) Requests
Certificates of Insurance are available for CSSA-sanctioned leagues, clubs, and events. League operators may request COIs for fields, facilities, or host requirements related to sanctioned play.
COI request instructions, coverage information, and required forms are maintained within CSSA’s insurance documentation.

LEAGUE OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE
Affiliated leagues are responsible for meeting CSSA operational requirements, including player registration, roster management, referee assigning standards, and timely data and fee submission.
These responsibilities are defined in CSSA bylaws, playing rules, and official policies and apply to all leagues and clubs in good standing.

DISCIPLINE, RULES & MATCH STANDARDS
CSSA oversees discipline and match standards to ensure fair, consistent competition. League operators must comply with all CSSA Discipline Committee decisions, reporting requirements, and officiating standards.
This includes adherence to FIFA Laws of the Game, CSSA playing rules, and approved referee assigning systems.
