About the Journal

The Revista Chilena de Entomología (RCE) born in 1951 as an official publication of the Sociedad Chilena de Entomología (responsible entity). RCE is a bilingual journal (Spanish and English) with a quarterly frequency, open to anyone, regardless of their membership status, and published only in electronic version.

Our main objectives are to promote research in the field of entomology and disseminate its results openly to all scientific community.

The papers published in the RCE are subject to evaluation by peer experts (minimum two) in each subject, using the single-blind method.

All manuscripts considered for publication will be sent to external reviewers, except those expressly requested by the Editorial Board of the journal (e.g., Letters to the Editor, Obituaries, Book Reviewer, etc.).

Thematic area: The RCE is the only publication in Chile that addresses purely entomological issues. Collaborations for RCE must correspond to original and unpublished research on insects, myriapods, and arachnids, in any of their specialties, aspects, or relationships.

Geographic scope: Principally Chile and the Neotropical and Nearctic regions.

Periodicity: Quarterly, a volume with four issues, published on March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31.

The contents of RCE are indexed in: Aquatic Science & Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA); BIOSIS Previews; CAB Abstracts; Zoological Record; Clarivate Analytics; Latindex-Catalog; Latindex-Directory; MIAR; WorldCat; EuroPub; DOAJ and SciELO Chile.
