Persian Journal of Acarology (PJA) is an open-access, peer-reviewed international journal of the Acarological Society of Iran for publication of high-quality papers on any aspect of Acarology including mite and tick behavior, biochemistry, biology, control, ecology, evolution, morphology, physiology, systematics and taxonomy as well as tick-borne diseases. All manuscripts will be subjected to peer review before acceptance. Article submission, processing, and publication are free of charge (NO APC). The time for the review of a manuscript is 3 weeks. ESCI (Q3), IF (2024) = 0.8 and Scopus CiteScore 2024: 1.5.

During 2025, Persian Journal of Acarology received 85 manuscripts, accepted 45 manuscripts, declined 35 manuscripts and published 42 manuscripts. Overall rejection rate is 45% (37% desk reject and 8% after review reject).
The PJA is supported spiritually by the Association of Iranian Plant Protection Scientific Societies (http://aippss.areeo.ac.ir/en-US/aippss.areeo.ac/30225/page/Home).
