PRO_VLIM Evolution extends PRO_VLIM’s capabilities by enabling the analysis of sections reinforced with composite materials such as FRP, in accordance with the guidelines of the Italian High Council of Public Works (C.S.LL.PP.), and performing analytical fire resistance checks for reinforced concrete sections. On January 9, 2020, the updated guidelines for seismic risk classification of buildings were published (<a href=”https://www.agenziaentrate.gov.it/portale/web/guest/aree-tematiche/casa/agevolazioni/sisma-bonus” target=”_blank”>simabonus</a>) along with procedures for certified professionals to attest to the effectiveness of performed interventions (Ministerial Decree No. 24 of 9/1/2020). The Superbonus includes key interventions necessary to obtain the 110% tax deduction: seismic retrofitting and energy efficiency measures. PRO_VLIM Evolution is developed in compliance with UNI 9502 (May 2001), UNI EN 1992-1-2:2005 simplified or advanced methods for fire resistance verification, and according to CNR DT 200 standards for FRP materials.

The software employs verification methods based on Ultimate Limit States (ULS), Serviceability Limit States (SLS), and allowable stresses, extended to sections reinforced with FRP and fire condition assessments.

The input follows the same workflow as PRO_VLIM, allowing geometry import from DXF files, direct drawing within the software, or acquisition of sections and loads from PRO_SAP models. Loads can be entered manually or imported automatically from PRO_SAP.

Available results include:

  • The 3D resistance domain and its 2D representations, including for sections reinforced with FRP.
  • Strain diagrams of steel and concrete at Ultimate Limit States (ULS).
  • Reduced failure domain due to fire exposure (for sections generated in PRO_SAP).
  • Temperature distribution map over the duration of fire exposure.
