Bursting is WP Cloud’s implementation of automatic vertical scaling that temporarily increases your site’s resources during high-demand periods. Don’t let Black Friday sales, ad campaigns, viral social media posts, or product launches to go waste.

The bursting process

Our systems continuously monitor CPU usage, memory consumption, and response times. When resource utilization exceeds predefined thresholds, bursting is triggered. Additional CPU cores and RAM are instantly allocated to your site. Your site maintains optimal performance during the traffic spike. Resources return to baseline levels when demand decreases.

Bursting activates when a site exceeds its default CPU (PHP worker) allocation and allows the site to leverage additional resources to scale up to meet demand.
