Well, what can I say...I’m a 20something Canadian, who enjoys a variety of fandoms, and while I greatly enjoy reading fanfic, I'm not very adept at writing it (there always seems to be too many real life interruptions.) So, I read, and I usually prefer stories that are gen, and that feature my favorite characters actually behaving according to cannon. (The exception to this, of course, is the odd bit of crack! or au that is so well done that it almost seems canon.) I'll also tell you that I am in awe of the many fanfic writers who put so much time and effort into their stories; their results are nothing short of amazing.
