Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pre-Sales Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in the data security, passwordless, and identity access management (IAM) field. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, understand their requirements, and provide tailored solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their unique business needs, challenges, and security requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on data security, passwordless authentication, and identity access management solutions.

The Opportunity

WinMagic is seeking a strategic and hands-on Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to own the narrative and go-to-market (GTM) strategy for our innovative products.

This is not a people-management role. You are a senior “manager of the work” – a critical individual contributor who will build, own, and execute our product marketing function.

Your primary mission is to be the driving force that helps us achieve and scale Product Market Fit (PMF) for our novel solutions. We need someone who lives and breathes the PMF framework. You will be the expert on our customers, our market, and our message, translating complex technical features into compelling value propositions that resonate deeply with IT and security professionals.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Product Market Fit (PMF) Strategy: You will deeply analyze our target market, identify high-value customer segments, and validate their acute pain points. You’ll be responsible for crafting the value proposition and messaging that proves we have a solution the market desperately needs.
  • Develop Positioning & Messaging: Craft clear, differentiated, and compelling product positioning that separates us from the competition. This is your core deliverables.
  • Create High-Impact Content: Our technology is novel and needs powerful explanation. You will build a library of essential marketing and sales collateral, including datasheets, whitepapers, case studies, website content, solution briefs, presentation decks, and technical “explainer” materials.
  • Drive Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Design and execute GTM plans for new product launches and feature releases, coordinating across Sales, Product, and the broader Marketing team.
  • Enable the Sales & Channel Teams: Arm our sales team and partners with the tools they need to win. This includes creating battle cards, competitor analysis, scripts, and delivering training on how to articulate our product’s value.
  • Be the Market Expert: Act as the voice of the customer and the market internally. Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, buyer personas, and market trends in cybersecurity and data protection.

Who You Are

  • An Experienced B2B PMM: You have 5+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally within B2B enterprise software, cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
  • A PMF Expert (This is non-negotiable): You must have a demonstrable, deep understanding of the Product Market Fit framework. You can provide clear examples of how you have applied PMF principles to find, develop, and scale a market for a new or existing product.
  • A Technical Translator: You have a proven gift for grasping complex technical concepts (like encryption, endpoint security, or identity access) and translating them into clear, compelling, and human-centric language.
  • A Master Storyteller & Writer: You are an exceptional communicator, both written and verbal. You can craft a narrative that sticks.
  • A Hands-On “Doer”: You are comfortable with both high-level strategy and rolling up your sleeves to write copy, build a slide deck, and get the work done.
  • Data-Informed: You use market research, customer feedback, and data to make informed decisions about messaging and strategy.
