WinFlex is a Windows build of the Flex (Fast Lexical Analyzer) utility. It converts .l/.lex specifications into efficient C/C++ scanner code, making it straightforward to create tokenizers for compilers, interpreters, and data-processing tools on Windows. The tool mirrors the behavior and command-line options of flex on Unix-like systems, integrates with common Windows toolchains and build systems, and works seamlessly alongside parser generators such as Bison or Yacc.
