Our Work

At BIWFC, we serve as the leading resource center advancing humane and effective wildlife population management through fertility control methods. We identify and address systemic challenges in the field by bringing together diverse stakeholders including researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and communities.

A group of people engage in discussion at a poster session. Attendees read posters and converse in a hallway, creating a collaborative atmosphere.

Our work spans three core activities: we host workshops, conferences, and events that stimulate vital discussion and foster collaboration among experts worldwide; we strategically fund innovative projects that develop and implement fertility control solutions for various species; and we create educational resources to inform wildlife managers, policymakers, and the public about evidence-based alternatives to lethal control. By integrating scientific research with practical application and community engagement, we're building a sustainable framework for human-wildlife coexistence across urban, suburban, and natural landscapes. Our collaborative approach ensures that wildlife fertility control becomes an increasingly viable, accepted, and implemented tool in modern wildlife management practices.
