You’ll gain hands-on experience from day one
Our apprentices quickly become involved in real projects shadowing a fully qualified engineer as they carry out electrical, fire and security works and going on to support them across multiple different areas.
We’ll do everything we can to nurture your talent and to help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
What’s involved
Every week you’ll spend one day at college learning the technical theory you need to become a qualified electrician.
Four days each week are dedicated to on-the-job practical learning, working on site and receiving ongoing mentoring. We make sure you complete the full portfolio of tasks for your qualification, working across different sites to cover the necessary wiring systems and containment.
We help to prepare and guide you through your AM2 assessments, using our testing and fault-finding rig that exactly mirrors the AM2 set-up and qualification. Regular reviews keep both you and us in touch with how you’re progressing.
