Definition

Content plugins provide additional functionality within an article. Want to display a map showing your hotel’s location? Add a contact form? Allow visitors to read a PDF or DOC file directly on your site without downloading it first? Show a photo gallery or embed a YouTube video? The differences from modules

While both content plugins and modules add extra functionality, content plugins are triggered only within articles (inside a content component), whereas modules can appear in module positions anywhere on your Elxis website. Multiple modules can also be assigned to the same module position!
