A few of us working at the Library today started at the college as tutors in what is now the ASC (Academic Support Center), previously located in Granbury and Mineral Wells, and as part of SSS. We have also taught at the college and local ISDs.
We recognize that teaching and tutoring are not always about the content, but about supporting our students where they are in their academic journey.
Working with our students face-to-face is a crucial step in their learning process. However, they also need to know where to find resources online to support them at 2:00 A.M. when they are freaking out about their content or their academic journey.
Tutor.com provides numerous resources for our students, but the Library offers additional tools and resources not available through Tutor.com.
