We are just a 3-hour drive from Washington, D.C. and a 90-minute drive from Richmond, Virginia.
By Rail
Trains are an affordable and convenient option for getting here. Three Amtrak stations access our region. They can be located in Norfolk, Newport News, and Williamsburg.
By Air
Many national and regional airlines fly into Norfolk International Airport and the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport. From there, it’s just a brief ride to anywhere you want to be in Coastal Virginia.
By Boat
With so many waterways, the whole region is accessible by boat via the Intracoastal Waterway, the Rappahannock, York, Potomac, Elizabeth and James rivers. There are plenty of marinas to spend the night or a few days. Stock up on some provisions and visit the area. These include Chesapeake Virginia and Blue Water Yachts, Customs House Marina, docks at Downtown Hampton, Rudee Inlet in Virginia Beach and Cape Charles Town Harbor, the Onancock Wharf and Curtis Merritt Harbor on the Eastern Shore.
