On the AO3 posting front, I'm at January 2009. I'm at 346 (up from 333) works now, which means I've added 13 fics since the last report. In addition to fics that I'd already posted before, I posted Weird, Heart over Head, Dog Tags, and Reading Glasses.
I've managed to write every day in 2016 even if it was only an alibi sentence of three words. My total for the year was 403165, which sounds and is a lot, but recording the D&D adventures is an easy but not as satisfying way to get words out, so my plan for 2017 is to write more normal stories and also to post some of the growing backlog.

I've signed up for 150k for the year. I really don't want to fall behind this year, and ideally I'd write every day even if I'm ahead. Even "any word count is okay" days add to the total and more often than not it goes significantly over the goal, which would be 298 words each (non-November) day, and is already down to 295 ;)
I also have generated quite a backlog of fic, so it should be possible for me to post a new fic every week. We'll see how that works out.

For the rest of the year, I'll finish my 200k word goal. For next year I'll definitely go back to 150k. And I hope to post some of the unposted stories (and continue reposting to AO3 so that everything is available there eventually).

Seven of those were posted as my Extreme Big Bang McShep AU anthology Life-Changing Encounters. The other was Offers about John's selfish asshole ex turning up in Atlantis and messing with their lives.
I hope to continue to catch up to still be able to reach my (upgraded from the previous years' 150k) word count goal of 200k words. Interfering with that is my new-found love of boardgaming. I have ideas about my own little game, a simple card game about a relationship (you can guess who I have in mind ;), but I need to think about that more and get a better feel about game mechanics in general. (I do know that I hate dice combat *grr*)

I also caved and for the first time backed something on Kickstarter when I saw Legendary Metal Coins for Gaming. I won't even use them for gaming. But they're so pretty and shipping is free, so I pledged for the collection to have one of each. I'm aware that kickstarted projects are a mixed bag with failures and successes. But they did deliver on their last project, so I'm hopeful.

I'm considering increasing my word count goal from 150k this year to 200k next year. Since I'm not really doing art except for select challenges (specifically SGA Art Santa and SGA Reverse Bang) and considering that I've not written anything for sometimes weeks on end this year, this should be perfectly doable for me. I have a long list of unanswered McSheplets challenges and have to write more for the Extreme Big Bang, so additional motivation by forcing a higher monthly word count would be good.
I also got out my second set of wisdom teeth. Now they're all gone. I still can't open my mouth very wide, but that'll be over in a few weeks.

The 400k was a lot, but if I remove the two D&D "stories" there's only just under 30k left. I just want to get back in the McShep groove…
