The base code of this site comes from the "urlshortener" and "xUI" projects by TheDoggyBrad Software Lab. The project's code is regularly updated to match the current functionality x10 URL currently offers. However, some customizations (like security features) by x10 URL are not available in the source code of the said projects. Thus, the "urlshortener" and "xUI" projects of TheDoggyBrad Software Lab are the open-source version of x10 URL.
In an analogy, Chromium is the open-source web browser but Google Chrome is the proprietary version with more features. Whereas, "urlshortener" and "xUI" are like Chromium and x10 URL is like Google Chrome.
