uQualio Is a ‘Profit With Purpose’

We created uQualio to be a video-based learning platform that simplifies course creation, including ethical AI tools to add features and lower your costs. Through eLearning, the platform makes learning engaging and effective for your users (employees, customers and other stakeholders), wherever they are. It is scalable for maximum value and minimal expense.

We make it possible for any Subject Matter Expert (SME) to share good knowledge. Traditional LMS platforms are boring; everyone goes to YouTube nowadays to learn. So we looked at that format instead, adding quizzes to improve knowledge retention and tests to provide documentation. Its straightforward design enables you to onboard and make your first course on Day 1.

Known to us simply as Hatla and Christian, these partners in business and in life have deep experience at the highest levels of the corporate and technical worlds. While they are sometimes a study in contrast, they are united in their devotion to making the world a better place.

The Danish video LMS platform was destined to be created. By this time, Hatla and Christian had seen what did not work, where both humans and technology failed accessibility to learning. Hatla’s work at large companies revealed the limitations of traditional knowledge sharing and learning methods. Rigid webinars, classroom training, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) failed in engaging diverse learners. The result is that the key objective of learning fails – the opposite of what learning is supposed to achieve.

Christian saw that technology could do more and had the potential to bridge gaps in many areas. Christian and Hatla were constantly educating themselves on how learning works in all types of people – in fact, they still do this. They realized they could create a video learning platform that addresses the roadblocks to learning they had witnessed.

uQualio was founded in 2017 in Copenhagen as a Profit with Purpose, providing a video learning platform for every type of business. But also with the budget-friendly scalability and ethical AI tools to work as effectively for start-ups, NGOs, very small businesses, and SMEs as it does for global companies needing enterprise solutions.

Learning should be straightforward for learners to get the knowledge they need most. But it should be fun! Designing learning experiences with user engagement encourages participation, piques curiosity, and provides long-term skill retention. The most potent and lasting rewards excite and unite all to a common vision.

Why make learning boring when it may already be difficult? Incorporating gamification like non-graded quizzes into lessons can make required compliance tests more interesting. Even fun. More importantly, these quizzes help move learning from temporary work memory to short-term memory, This aids recall and retention for the graded tests at the end of a course, when required. If your employees are required to take ISO, GDPR and other courses for compliance, uQualio provides tools to make learning more fun and effective.

We take inspiration from famous literary character Pippi Longstocking’s fearless creativity and can-do attitude. For uQualio, Pippi represents resilience, generosity, playfulness, curiosity, courage, and a kind and open heart that reflects her belief in making the world better. These are traits that we incorporate into every aspect of our business, creating innovative solutions while helping others.

Pippi Longstocking is the fictional character in a series of children’s books by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren. Pippi exhibits resilience and is always facing new challenges and eager to learn about the world around us. We built our platform to adapt and grow with diverse industries, evolving training needs, and rapidly changing technologies.

The Pippi Spirit encourages us to FAIL – that is, to know that the First Attempt In Learning is positive. We must keep trying in order to continuously improve and reach our goals. uQualio is as much about our own continued learning as it is in helping others to learn.

Like Pippi, we challenge assumptions, believe in our own strength, and refuse to be limited by “what can’t be done.” It led us to build a simple, powerful, self-service video learning platform. The Pippi Spirit drives us to create solutions that make learning easier and more accessible for everyone.

So much of our difference lies in our mission, vision, and core values. We would love to be the most-accessed video learning platform in the world, but not for the reason most businesses would. We are a Profit with Purpose, and as such, being the most-accessed platform would mean that we are literally making access to quality learning universal. Donating our video LMS and expertise to NGOs like EdViCon had a real impact on international learning post-COVID.

The Profit with Purpose model allows us to help those who work to help solve the world’s problems. Imagine a start-up that uses VR to help patients with schizophrenia. Or an NGO working in an international project to help university students learn effectively during COVID restrictions. Even a small manufacturing firm went from large written manuals to microlearning training videos for their customers.
