THIS GOVERNMENT!!! – DO YOU PRAY?

THIS GOVERNMENT!!! – DO YOU PRAY?

DO YOU PRAY FOR YOUR GOVERNMENT?

DO YOU PRAY FOR THE PERSONS IN YOUR GOVERNMENT?

Governments across the globe are struggling to find solutions to the plethora of complex issues that face them – overwhelming debt, a failing economy, increased crime and violence, rising unemployment, insufficient healthcare, shortages of food and water, social unrest, religious clashes, environmental disaster, worker dissatisfaction and labor disputes, mass demonstrations, political uprisings, moral decay and so much more.

Whether via the media, on the streets, at work, or at public or private social gatherings, it is not uncommon to hear Believers and non-believers alike express a barrage of criticism, dissatisfaction, disappointment, disillusionment and even disgust over the actions and/or inaction of some governing ruler or political party.

While responsible freedom of expression in regard to these issues has its rightful place, today I want to remind us as Believers in Christ and Kingdom Citizens to pray for those in authority over us and not just talk about what they are doing, not doing, could do, should do, etc.

“The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live.”

(I Timothy 2:1-3 – The Message Bible)

Do you pray for those in authority in your nation or are you simply on the verbal bandwagon of expressed feelings and opinions all the while neglecting to pray for them?

When it comes to political and governmental issues, if we as Believers are not careful, we can find ourselves so caught up in talking that we forget to pray……let’s be on alert to not fall into that trap.

Remember, while our responsibly expressed feelings and opinions have their rightful place, our governmental leaders need our prayers more than ever, particularly those of the Faith.

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 8

NOTEWORTHY QUOTE 8

"SELAH - PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT"

“SELAH – PAUSE AND CALMLY THINK OF THAT”

From time-to-time I like to post quotes that I view as noteworthy.

The following is a statement quoted from Mark Batterson found on page 25 of Chapter 3 of his book, “All In”.

“The gospel costs nothing, We cannot buy it or earn it. It can only be received as a free gift compliments of God’s grace. So it costs nothing, but it demands everything. And that is where most of us get stuck – spiritual no-man’s land. We are too Christian to enjoy sin and too sinful to enjoy Christ. We’e got just enough Jesus to be informed, but not enough to be transformed.

We want everything God has to offer without giving anything up. We want to buy in without selling out.”

SOBERING STUFF – WHERE DO YOU STAND ON THIS ISSUE?

“Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also].
For whoever is bent on saving his [temporal] life [his comfort and security here] shall lose it [eternal life]; and whoever loses his life [his comfort and security here] for My sake shall find it [life everlasting].”

DON’T GET WEARY – KEEP DOING WHAT YOU KNOW TO BE RIGHT

DON’T GET WEARY – KEEP DOING WHAT YOU KNOW TO BE RIGHT

Do you sometimes feel like the good things or right things that you do are in vain because you have not seen the expected results?

Well here’s a song by Hosanna Music and  a timely prophetic word by Elaine Tavolacci that I believe that will encourage you not to grow weary in well-doing, but to continue doing what you know to be right.

Be blessed!

“DIVINE DEPOSITS”

No Deposit – No Return

Elaine Tavolacci

unnamed-6

One day I was in a bank waiting for assistance. I looked up and noticed a sign on the wall that caught my attention. The sign read: “TODAY’S DECISIONS AFFECT TOMORROWS RETURNS”. The scripture came to me which says “Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap”. In the Kingdom of God, this law also applies. I am not talking about a financial deposit which is also relevant, but I am referring to a spiritual deposit. The quality and quantity of the spiritual deposit that we make into our lives will determine our spiritual return.

People deposit their money into a bank because they believe that it is a safe place. They will deposit it where they will receive the highest interest rate. Whatever we deposit into our spirit will either be beneficial or detrimental to our spiritual lives. What we sow will determine tomorrow’s returns in our lives. The greater the deposit, the greater the return. No deposit, no return. The bible says; For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit, will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

The Lord says; the deposits which you have made throughout the years were not in vain. The time spent in My word and My presence will yield great results. The prayers that you have prayed will not return void. All that you have sowed will surely bear much fruit and you will see it come to pass. I have seen every divine deposit that you have made throughout the years by continually standing on My Word and praying even when you didn’t see results. What you are depositing into your life and into your spirit will affect your personal life, your family, your ministry and your destiny. The things that you do daily will affect your outcome permanently. It is your decision to stir up the gift that has been deposited inside of you. It is your choice to nurture and cultivate those gifts.

As you were faithful in adversity and steadfast in difficult times, I am a God of justice and I will honor My Word. I will release the gifts that were promised to you and release you into the ministries that were assigned to you. For those of you who have been careless in your walk with Me, return to the place where you once were, and I will receive you and restore you once again. To those of you who have lost much, trust Me as I will watch over My word to perform it. Stay alert, and do not be afraid to go forward because I am with you and I will position you as well as escort you. Do not hide your talents but be prepared to move into the plan that I have designed for you. Your effort will be rewarded and your dreams will come to pass as you continue to abide in Me and simply trust Me says the Lord.

Matthew 6: 19 – 21
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Galatians 6:7 – 9
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

1 Timothy 4:14 – 16
Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

THE BEST REMEDY FOR A CRAZY DAY

THE BEST REMEDY FOR A CRAZY DAY

THIS DAY IS CRAZY!

THIS DAY IS CRAZY!

Have you ever had a crazy day?

A day when things go unexpectedly wrong.

A day when you inadvertently make an irrevocably bad decision and realize it immediately thereafter.

A day when “out of the clear blue” someone or something you are depending on fails you without notice.

A day when tragedy strikes leaving you disoriented and traumatized.

A day when some regrettable act rises from the ashes of your past to mock and taunt you.

A day at the end of which you wish could erase the events, re-write the script and start al over again.

Have you ever had a crazy day?

I know I have.

I’ve had my share of crazy days when life blindsided me and left me to pick up the pieces as best I could.

So what’s the best thing to do when we have a crazy?

There are many things you can do but I believe the best remedy is to run to the Lord, to run into His pavilion, His tabernacle, His secret hiding place and allow Him to minister to your body, soul (mind, will, emotions) and spirit, allow Him to pour out His balm of  healing, comfort and peace, allow Him to impart wisdom, knowledge and understanding, allow Him to do in you and give to you only what He can do and give, allow Him to reposition you and instruct you how to move forward by His grace and under His divine direction.

When I have crazy days, I thank God that there is a place, a secret place, a place where I can run for Him to hide me.

The Psalmist David puts it this way:-

For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.

(Psalms 27:5 – NKJV)

And Karen Clark Sheard sings it this way:-

“A SECRET PLACE” – KAREN CLARK SHEARD

When I have crazy days, I thank God that there is a place, a hiding place, a place where I can run for God to hide me.

The Psalmist David puts it this way:-

“You are a hiding place for me; You, Lord, preserve me from trouble, You surround me with songs and shouts of deliverance. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!”

(Psalms 32:7 – Amplified Bible)

And the Maranatha Singers sing it this way:-

“YOU ARE MY HIDING PLACE” – MARANATHA SINGERS

When I have crazy days, I thank God the there is a secret hiding place in Him where I can run and to me, that’s the best remedy.

“Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear, revere, and worship You, goodness which You have wrought for those who trust and take refuge in You before the sons of men!

In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men; You keep them secretly in Your pavilion from the strife of tongues.

Blessed be the Lord! For He has shown me His marvelous loving favor when I was beset as in a besieged city.”

(Psalms 31:19-21 – Amplified Bible)

THE GOSPEL MESSAGE RAP STYLE

THE GOSPEL MESSAGE RAP STYLE

Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel but He never told us how to go or what to use.

I believe He never confined us to a specific “how” or “what”, to a specific “method” or “tool”,  because He in His divine foreknowledge knew that the options available to us to take the message of the Gospel to the world would evolve and multiply in each generation and wants us to make use of whatever is available in our time.

I came across this song yesterday; it’s the Gospel message presented rap style.

Take a listen and if you feel it can reach or minister to someone you know, don’t hesitate to pass it on.

CHRISTIAN RAP – HARD AS NAILZ – “CHANGE”

The message of the Gospel must stay the same, but the ways and means of delivering it are ever-changing.

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.”

(John 3:16, 17 – Amplified Bible)

And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].

(Matthew 16:15 – Amplified Bible)

“Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people: religious, nonreligious, meticulous moralists, loose-living immoralists, the defeated, the demoralized—whoever. I didn’t take on their way of life. I kept my bearings in Christ—but I entered their world and tried to experience things from their point of view. I’ve become just about every sort of servant there is in my attempts to lead those I meet into a God-saved life. I did all this because of the Message. I didn’t just want to talk about it; I wanted to be in on it!”

(I Corinthians 9:19-23 – The Message Bible)

DON’T FIT? – CHANGE IT! – A CHANGE CHALLENGE

DON’T FIT? – CHANGE IT! – A CHANGE CHALLENGE

IT JUST DOES NOT FIT!

IT JUST DOES NOT FIT!

Are there people, places or things in your life that you know just do not fit anymore, that you know God wants you to change or let go of  yet you hesitate to take the action  that you know He desires?

The following is a post I wrote in March of 2012 called “If It Just Does Not Fit Your Life, It’s Time To Change It” that I believe will help you.

Be blessed!

Be encouraged!

Be motivated!

Kim

IF IT JUST DOES NOT FIT YOUR LIFE, IT’S TIME TO CHANGE IT

Have you ever had a favorite piece of clothing that you’ve worn for years then one day you try it on and it just does not fit?

You pull, tug, twist, wiggle, hold in, stretch, but it just does not fit.

Mind you, it was fitting all along and you enjoyed wearing it. It looked good on you, you felt comfortable in it, others complimented you on it and even encouraged you to wear it, but now it just does not fit.

What is it in your life that used to fit beautifully, but now it just does not fit?

  • Is it your job, or position at work?
  • The place where you live?
  • The local church you attend?
  • The way you dress?
  • Your eating habits?
  • An attitude?
  • A mindset?
  • A method you’ve used to do a specific task?
  • A way of relating to someone?
  • A friendship or some other relationship?
  • Helping a certain person or institution in a particular way?
  • Your perspective or belief about something or someone?

What is it in your life that used to fit beautifully, but now it just does not fit?

At one time it fit you well. You felt at peace with it, it complemented your life, produced good fruit, helped and blessed others, provided fulfillment, enabled you to grow and develop, but now if you are honest with yourself, holding on to or continuing in it is like trying to squeeze into that favorite old garment that just won’t fit.

What is it in your life that used to fit beautifully, but now it just does not fit?

Selah!

Once identified, no matter what it is in your life that just does not fit, it is important for you to accept the fact that it just does not fit and some adjustments are needed.

Next, it is important to seek God’s wisdom on the matter. Ask Him why you are experiencing this “mis-fitness” and to show you how to deal with it. As you open your heart and mind to hear from Him, remember that whatever He speaks to you will never contradict His written Word or its principles in any way.

Lastly, and most importantly, whatever He tells you to do, just do it!

Okay, I know that depending on what He says, sometimes it is not that easy, but I also know that God will never instruct you to do anything that He has not already made a way for you to do.

So whether He directs you to sever a relationship, re-define a friendship, leave a job, seek a new place to live, withhold help where you once freely gave it, change your eating or dressing habits, your way of relating to someone, your attitude toward a situation or person, where you attend church, or anything else, you can rest assured that His grace, His divine enabling power, is available to help you to do it.

When something in our life no longer fits, change is essential.

Let’s face it, sometimes it is scary letting go of the familiar. We figuratively prefer to squeeze into that old, favorite garment, but if change is what God requires, it is best that we do it in spite of our feelings because in the same way that we can not move forward while looking back, we can not hold on to what no longer fits and expect progressive, productive lives.

What is it in your life that you know no longer fits and you sense the Lord telling you to lay aside, put off, leave behind, walk away from, no longer be involved in, adjust or see differently?

Whatever it is, I exhort you to hear, listen to and obey His voice and remember that “The will of God will never lead you where the grace of God can not keep you.“

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.”

Philippians 2:13 – NKJV

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13 – NKJV

Shalom!

DO YOU NEED SPIRITUAL RECHARGING?

DO YOU NEED SPIRITUAL RECHARGING

Do you need spiritual recharging?

Well I received the following prophetic word by Elaine Tavolacci this morning via my subscription to her website, http://www.awordinseason.info. and I believe it is a timely and encouraging word that will recharge your spiritual battery and as such I am re-blogging it with her permission.

May 17th, 2014

Elaine Tavolacci

“RECHARGING”

unnamed-3

RECHARGING

“RECHARGING”

The other day as I was in a local gas station I noticed a man charging his car battery with jumping cables connected to another car. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said; there are many of My people who need to be “Spiritually recharged”. I looked up the word “recharged”. The definition is:

1. To charge again with electricity
2. To refresh or restore, to revitalize
3. To make a new charge, especially to attack again.
4. To revive, restore energy, stamina, enthusiasm, etc;

Then I looked up the word “battery charger”. A battery charger or recharger is a device used to put energy into a secondary cell or rechargeable battery by forcing an electric current through it. The Lord wants to fill us to overflowing so that we will be able to recharge those who need a refilling or jump start.

The Lord says; I am recharging my people once again. You are asking for a revival, but My plan is to begin revival within you. I am about to open up the floodgates and pour out My glory in an unprecedented way, but it will start within you and flow through you. I have placed My glory within you to be released to others. My kingdom is within you and as you pursue Me, I will fill you afresh to be a conduit to those who need to be recharged. Don’t wait any longer for the waters to stir, but stir yourself up. There is no need to feel inadequate because I have come to use the foolish things of this world to put to shame the wise, and the weak things of the world to put to shame the things that are mighty. I will use you to fill those who have been spiritually depleted, and refill those who need to be replenished. I am raising up a people who will be carriers of My anointing to release to others. I am looking for vessels who will carry My fire to recharge other vessels.

I am raising up those who will walk in a power that has not yet been revealed in this generation. This is not a natural impartation but it is supernatural. I have called you to be more than mere men and women. Your hunger and thirst is the prerequisite for receiving this anointing. As you empty yourselves of fleshly desires, I will fill you to release to others what I have imparted to you. As I restore your energy and revive your stamina, there will also be an overflow through you that will release others from fatigue and barrenness. Refocus and renew the passion that you’ve once had. Don’t allow anything to neutralize you or take away your zeal. As you trust Me, the tenacity will arise once again, and I will set you ablaze with My glory as you step out. Don’t resist any change that is needed to bring you into the fullness of what I have for you. Allow My Word to penetrate your heart as a fire shut up in your bones. Do not fear the unknown, but allow My glory to flow through you, and you will experience My anointing increase in you says the Lord.

Luke 17:20
Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.

Isaiah 44:3
For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground;

Jeremiah 20:9
Then I said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not.

A SONG FOR TODAY

 A SONG FOR TODAY

DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE IN JESUS?

DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE IN JESUS?

Have you ever had the experience of a song being in your spirit……With no conscious effort it’s simply there on your mind playing over and over periodically, and then you even find yourself spontaneously singing it?

Has that ever happened to you?

For the past two weeks, “With All I Am” by Hillsong led by Darlene Zschech has been in my spirit, particularly the chorus.

Every morning I wake up it’s there, throughout the day it pops up, at night it’s there and even in my sleep I sense it from time to time.

It was here again this morning so I thought I’d post it as a song for the day.

Be blessed as you listen and say a prayer for Darlene who loves the Lord is a true worshipper and is in a battle against breast cancer.

Shalom!

Kim

A MOTHER’S DAY INSPIRATIONAL MINI VIDEO

A MOTHER’S DAY INSPIRATIONAL MINI VIDEO

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL MOTHERS IN THE WORLD!

Here’s a very short inspirational video on motherhood that I found on YouTube.

Take a few minutes to watch it….. I believe it will bless you tremendously, especially on this Mother’s Day.

MOTHER’S DAY – MERRY OR MERE “RE”

MOTHER’S DAY – MERRY OR MERE “RE”

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

This morning I was thinking of how daunting a task it would be for me to raise my children without God, His Word, His Holy Spirit, His angels, the Blood of Jesus, the Name of Jesus, Divine Grace, Faith, Wisdom and Prayer.

Considering the complexity and multitude of entanglements of today’s world, that would definitely stress me beyond capacity; I’d be a worry wart and a nervous wreck all wrapped up in one.

I am so grateful to God for all that He has made available to me spiritually to help me in this journey of motherhood and I am not ashamed to say I need it.

I am also grateful to Him for each person he has made available to help me in various ways with this journey of motherhood, especially my husband and mother…..thanks Jesse and Judy……:)

As Mother’s Day approaches tomorrow, mothers all over the world are looking forward to a great day, eagerly waiting with joyful anticipation to see what innovative demonstration of love and appreciation will come forth from their children, grandchildren, husbands, father(s) of their children and/or other significant people in their lives.

While this is the case for many mothers, it is not the case for all mothers.

I wrote the following post for Mother’s Day 2011 and thought I’d re-blog it for mothers, particularly mothers in the Body of Christ, who due to various circumstances see Mother’s Day and motherhood as a dilemma more so than a delight.

As you read, be sensitized, be encouraged, be blessed.

Kim

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY?

It’s Mother’s Day! Hooray!

What excitement! What fanfare! What fun!

Not always!

Don’t be deceived.

All that glitters on Mother’s Day is not gold.

If you peek behind the smiles, hugs, kisses, and in some cases, the beautiful hats, clothes, shoes and handbags, you will not always get the same picture as what is outwardly portrayed.

Although showered by accolades, gifts and kind words today, deep down inside, many mothers in the Body of Christ are tired, frustrated, angry, hurting and depressed.

Here’s what a few of these mothers had to say about their situations.

Sheena says,“I feel so stretched. Although there are demands, I can’t juggle another plate or I’ll drop them all. I wear so many hats that one more will send me over the edge. I play so many roles I don’t even know who I am anymore. Honestly, I feel like I just want out of this mother-thing.”

Donna says,“I am overwhelmed by the responsibility that I have to assume in my household as a mother, almost to a breaking point. Being the weaker vessel, I am not made to bear the weight that I do, but I have to because my husband refuses to step up and do the things he knows he ought to as the father of our children.”

Jackie says,“I feel helpless and bound. I saw my mother walk down a crazy path when raising me and my siblings and I vowed not to walk that same kind of path with my kids yet I find myself there. It’s like I’m living a nightmare and can’t wake up. I need help.”

Catherine says,“I am so weary and weighed down that I am running on empty. At this point I am just going through the motions of carrying out my motherly duties. My heart is not in it at all and I am cranky, snappy, and impatient with my kids. I don’t like being like this, but I just can’t help myself.”

Barbara says, “As a single mother I feel trapped in my situation. If I step back and release some things, everything will fall apart, but if I don’t step back and release some things, I will fall apart. I don’t know what to do. I’m in a raging battle and weariness is taking its toll.”

Paula says, “Truthfully, excuse my expression but right now I am pissed! I am so angry at the ungrateful attitude of my children and the lack of support from their fathers that I feel like I am about to explode………only the restraining power of the Holy Spirit is keeping me in check, and I don’t know how long that will last!”

Dawn says,“I’m angry too! I am angry with myself for having so many children. Oh how I despise myself for this! Not only do I despise myself for having the number of children I have, I despise them and their father. I know this is not right but it is where I am at; at least I’m being real”

Brenda says,“I am so, so tired. I believe I am on the verge of collapse, physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. I am simply tired, worn-out, and weary.”

What about you?

What are you saying this Mother’s Day?

Are you in a maternal dilemma?

Whatever you are dealing with as a mother, today the Spirit of God says to you, “Be Strong”.

You say, “Lord, how can I be strong when I have little or nothing left in me?……How can I be strong when I am barely making it now?”

He says, “Be strong in Me not in your self. Be strong in Me and in the power of My might for it is not by your might, nor by your power, but by My Spirit that you shall overcome. Extend your faith and come to me afresh and anew and I will strengthen you. I will give you what you need to make it through.”

Listen, whether married with children or a single mother, the Spirit of God desires to impart new strength to your body, mind, soul and spirit right now……..you do not have to leave this web page in the same condition that you came.

Will you let Him do it?

If yes, as an act of faith, raise your hands or touch your computer screen and say, “Lord I receive this impartation of your strength into every aspect of my being. ”

Believe you have received it and take a moment to thank Him for it.

In 1995, I spent Mother’s Day in hospital having just given birth to a still-born baby girl the day before. Seeing that we already had a son, my husband and I had fervently prayed for a daughter and now she was gone………what a Mother’s Day gift! That was a painful and difficult life event, yet in the midst of it all God enabled me to make the best of my Mother’s day that year.

Why am I sharing this?

To let you know that no matter what you face today, no matter how difficult your circumstances, by God’s grace you can make the best of your Mother’s Day too.

So, having said this, by His grace and in your newfound strength, go ahead and have a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

Be encouraged!

Kim
