Diamond Boy
Diamond Boy[note 1] is a minor character in Undertale. He appears in floor 3 of Hotland alongside Tall Diamond Boy, in the entryway of the northern shooting puzzle after completing it.
Diamond Boy is a purple monster wearing a red baseball cap, striped shirt and blue pants. His head is diamond-shaped and is divided into four segments, the top-right and bottom-left of which are black. These segments shift positions whenever Diamond Boy speaks.
Diamond Boy thinks highly of Mettaton. He eagerly talks about his favorite moments in his shows, describing them using the trademarked "Mettaton Moment™".
His favorite moment in Mettaton's shows is when Mettaton poses dramatically when the situation looks dire. When spoken to again, he mentions that Mettaton segues into promoting an MTT-brand Glamburger and eats one. If Mettaton is killed, he finds the finale sad and realizes that Mettaton has no future shows scheduled.[1]
Diamond Boy's explanations hint at how to gain ratings during the battle against Mettaton EX. The first hint, "when everything looks the baddest, he poses dramatically", refers to the Pose ACT that rewards more rating points the lower the protagonist's HP is. The second hint, "Even if you suck at cooking, you can always buy an MTT-brand Glamburger", refers to how the protagonist can eat a Glamburger during the battle to earn more rating points.
During the True Pacifist Route epilogue, Diamond Boy expresses interest in getting a skateboard.
