TripSpace was born from a shared dream to create a permanent home for Trip the Light Fantastic Toe — a much-loved nomadic East London event that celebrated dance, performance, and vibrant community connection.
Founded by former dancers and yoga practitioners Giuliana Majo and Montse Ventura, TripSpace grew from their desire to build a space that could nurture both their own creative work and the wider community through movement, care, and shared experience.
Nestled in a converted railway arch by Regent’s Canal in Haggerston, TripSpace has evolved into a dynamic hub where contemporary dance meets holistic wellbeing.
From the beginning, we’ve championed inclusive, non-mainstream expressions of dance and improvisation, while also cultivating a strong foundation in yoga and mindful movement. Our welcoming studio offers high-quality yoga classes led by some of London’s most inspiring teachers, alongside physio-informed movement sessions designed to support body awareness, injury prevention, and long-term wellbeing.
Our mission is to bridge the worlds of dance, yoga, and wellbeing — offering accessible, evidence-informed movement practices that strengthen both individual and collective resilience across East London and beyond.
TripSpace aims to be:
– An inclusive artistic and social undertaking with a progressive edge
– An exciting and supportive home for dance artists
– A buzzing nest for uncharted performance and experimentation
– A hub of yoga excellence in a warm, welcoming environment
– A wholesome, inclusive playground for everyone — big and small
At its heart, TripSpace encourages synergy and proximity between the artistic community and the local social landscape — a place where creativity, care, and community naturally intertwine.
