I'm pretty sure my life is the worst life in the world of college students. I am always doing homework. Or doing R.A. crap. The latter I'm not too fond of. If Spanish wasn't such a bitch maybe school would be fun.

On the same note: My schedule.

MWF:
a) Honors American Lit II. I don't do old English authors nor do I write papers on Puritans/Indians. I like modern literature.
b) General Physics. GAYYY but part of my degree audit.
c) Chem 102 lab on Mondays. 3 hours of my life that is yet to be lost somewhere in the tomb of Lloyd hall. That place is going to fall apart.

TR:
a) Chem lecture.......................again. Boring.
b) R.A. class which is probably going to be a waste of time anyways.

I told someone tonight that I needed a boyfriend just to have something to talk about...or whine about.

Well, CSI is on and the woman who was just murdered had some ugly teeth. I'm hooked!

Ta ta!

I'm so way proud of myself.

I watched Saw II and only covered my eyes once. And that was with the iron mask in the beginning. And even that wasn't too bad.

I feel like I can conquer the world now. Oh, and congrats to Ashley who I think was just as scared as I was. We both made it.

Now I need to see the first one. And maybe the third, now that it's in theaters.

This was a kick-ass night. And I really hope that I don't wake up in a nasty room with a tape recorder in the corner.

Thank you.

"some people wear the jersey but don't play on the team."

Got a good sermon today at church.

It's days like these that make me realize that God is alive and well. He has blessed me with an amazing family and wonderful friends. Who could ask for more?
When I think about relationships (and believe me, I have) I am still battling within myself. I know I should just God handle it beause, eventually, He'll provide. But there are times when I want to ask, "Why haven't you sent anyone yet?" I just want someone to hang out with and to share things with. I want to feel secure.
Also struggling with the feeling that I don't express to my friends that I care about them. I'm not the kind of person who latches on immediately to people...even if I am really good friends with someone I'm not a latchy person. I hope people know how I much I love them; I try to say it as often as I can. If I haven't said it to you, please remind me.

Good news:
1. I finished my Chemistry. I might even understand it.
2. Meeting with the Microbiology department chair tomorrow. Crossing my fingers that it works out!
3. Maybe going to NYC over spring break...my first real college trip. And it's my 2nd year of college :(

Since Ashley told me to post, I will!

Wow, this summer was crazy...my job was crazy stressful (which I knew it would be) but I thought I'd have more fun than I actually did. Working with parents and kids definitely keeps you humble so I'm thankful for that!

I got back to school a little over a week ago and it has been BUSY.
Literally, nonstop. All during the week we had RA training and sessions (which was ALOT of drama) and just basically getting everything ready for the dorm. If anyone says that RAs don't work hard, they're lying! I also got to see everyone's new house/apartment and I'm jealous...I thought my tiny little single room would be enough but it's not!

Well, classes start Wednesday and I'm already fed up with some people. (Let me vent for a second!)
The whole point of being an RA is fulfilling your responsibility to the students at UA and to the University itself. If you sign a contract saying you want to do it, be prepared to do it! It means getting up early, volunteering, working long hours while waiting on food, and being on-call in case someone needs you.
I didn't want to get up early this morning but I did. I did it for the freshmen, the community service center, and those that need me. I don't feel like my job as an RA has to be a burden...some people just make it that way.
I get really annoyed at people who refuse to do their job because they don't want to get up early or get sweaty or actually do work. The community is not asking much of you.

I don't know...maybe I just feel like it's my goal to help people and I feel guilty when I don't do something I could've easily done. Some people may think I'm overly sensitive, but I'd rather be sensitive than ignorant and apathetic.

Okay, I'm done...I've got Bama Blast today at 4 (with free food) and then I'll be done!!

Well, school is almost over...I've just got 3 more exams to do and it'll be OVER.

It'll be sad to leave Bama, but I'm ready to go back home and get back to work.

Haha, listen to this!
Well, Betsy, Bama, and I were on our way downtown to Guerilla Theater (the theater dept. fraternity's underground theater show) and we pulled onto this street. Well, the Tuscaloosa police were in front of us and they suddenly pulled into a parking lot and got out of the car. There was a guy who was holding his hands up and the cops cuffed him. One cop got on his knee and was picking stuff up from the ground (DRUGS). It was sooo weird...Bama just parked and we sat there watching it, but the it freaked me out. What if this guy ran off and came to our car because he saw us??? Freaky!

Dear University of Alabama,

Wow! What a year! I came down here, knowing only one lone person (who has been my best friend and my compañero) and scared out of my mind. Leaving Nashville and all the cool people there...but anyways.

Good moments...
- Actually sticking it out with my roommate without one fight or yell.
- Finding some down-to-earth gals
- LSP
- Party Gras and that wierd Holiday party (too much hunch punch).
- Being the only sober people in Tuscaloosa on football nights.
- Burke @ 5
- Guerilla Theater (and the lap dances...)
- TCAT

Besides the drama queens and bad weather, this year has been fabulous. I still miss my friends at UT, but nothing can replace my freshman year at Bama.

Love,
Kendall
