Early History & Milestones
1910 - The company has its origins as far back as 1910, when, as Holland and Brewill, it was first established as a general engineering and machining company by Mr. Israel Holland
1946 - The decision is made to concentrate on tablet tooling, and it has since grown from the original two-man operation to a world-leading supplier of tablet compression tooling.
1964 - The first 'hobbed tips' are produced as a result of work carried out by a local company, Goodacre Engraving.
1966 - I Holland & Goodacre Engraving are run together under a board of 3 directors.
1967 - Between 1967 & 1970, hobbing press capacity increased, an ICI treatment plant was installed, and experiments in cold forming punch heads resulted in I Holland patenting the process
1970 - I Holland moves to its current premises on Meadow Lane, Long Eaton.
1987 - I Holland achieves ISO 9002 quality accreditation.
1990 - The company's PharmaCare division is established.
1992- The first Eurostandard was released by I Holland, a widely adopted standardised system for tablet compression tooling.
