SysPlayer 1.0
SysPlayer is a very simple and lightweight media player
Program info
The program is a very simple, neat and lightweight multimedia player. Probably, its most important advantage, besides the fact that it is free, is that it comes with built-in codecs. This means that SysPlayer is capable of playing many popular video and audio formats. It doesn’t only support a lot of file formats, but it can also play the contents of video DVDs and audio CDs or even handle the stream of webcams.
Simplicity remains its dominant characteristic. The developer stated on the official page that some options are available, like controlling the playback speed, but I couldn’t open them. There’s a button in the right upper corner of the interface that seemed to point to some settings, but nothing opened when I pressed that button. This makes SysPlayer a very minimalistic multimedia player that lacks even basic options. The only additional features that could be used during my testing were the playlist management window and a simple function that allowed me to capture still images from the played video.
On the other hand, this small tool is very easy-to-use and straightforward. Though it cannot be customized, the interface is pretty appealing and elegant.
In conclusion, if you want to give a try to a minimalistic multimedia player that doesn’t cost a dime, SysPlayer is a good choice.
