Why is my horse nervous?
A: Your horse (like all horses, pet or show) is a prey animal, first. Despite their size and speed, horses aren’t hunters, so they’re really not so different from the other hooved, grazing mammals who spend most of their time eating and running. Horses are nervous or spooky because they’re protecting themselves from predators (like us) and other unfamiliar threats (like almost everything else.)
Is SynChill™ right for my horse?
A: If your horse is healthy, and needs a little help in the “Spook Dept.” then yes! SynChill™ was made to make all horses safer— safer for you, and safer to themselves in a variety of situations.
Will SynChill™ result in a positive drug test at a horse show?
A: No. SynChill™ contains no pharmaceuticals, and is not a banned substance.
Is SynChill™ FDA-approved?
A: As an Animal Health Supplement, there is no FDA approval process. However, SynNutra Equine operates under FDA regulation and inspection as part of the broader oversight of animal supplement manufacturing in the United States. In addition, SynNutra Equine follows current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as established by the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC), helping ensure quality, safety, and consistency in every product we make.
How do I help my horse relax?
A: If you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering about so-called, “calming supplements.” SynNutra Equine™ prefers to refer to SynChill™ products as “fear response support.” In addition to asking yourself, “Is my horse in pain? Has he/she ever seen/done this before? Am I using the right tack in this situation?” You might also consider behavior modification by way of feed supplements.
When do I use SynChill™?
A: Anytime! If your horse falls anywhere on the Flighty-to-Terrified spectrum, so to speak, SynChill™ is right for your horse, wherever you are, from the backyard to the show ring.
Can my horse become dependent on SynChill™?
A: No. SynChill™ does not build up in the body. SynChill™ is composed of substances the body produces naturally, and is fully metabolized over the course of several hours.
Are supplements regulated by the government?
A: Yes. Vitamins and herbal supplements are FDA-regulated, but differently from pharmaceuticals. All SynNutra Equine® products meet FDA 21 CFR Part 507 regulations, meaning that the products are Manufactured to the Highest Standards for quality and safety. Further, all SynNutra ingredients and finished products are tested for purity and toxicity as per USP (US Pharmacopeia) 2021 and 2022.
