Adult survivors of child abuse or interpersonal violence frequently express a desire to share their lived experiences and hard-earned wisdom with others in impactful ways, yet don’t often have access to practical, supportive guidance in pursuing their passion.
SurvivorSpace has teamed up with the National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA) and the Prosecutors Alliance Survivor Center to offer a free discussion series for survivors. Each panel discussion is focused on a specific topic and is presented by survivors who have successfully navigated each topic area.

A Discussion Series for Survivors
Join us for one or all of these panel discussions. Each panel is held live via Zoom. Registration is required.
For survivors who are interested in becoming an advocate or otherwise working with survivors in a professional capacity, this discussion will address the breadth of roles in the field, common requirements, and accessible pathways to a career in advocacy and victim services.
For survivors who are interested in writing a memoir or book about their experience, this discussion will address the writing and editing process, deciding to self-publish or finding the right publisher, and getting your memoir in front of your target audience.
For survivors who are interested in sharing their story or expertise at conferences, at community events, or with policymakers, this discussion will address how to craft a message with impact, getting in front of the right audiences, and caring for yourself before, during, and after speaking.
For survivors who are interested in starting a consulting business, this discussion will address establishing a mission, developing the infrastructure, legal requirements, building relationships, and marketing to set your business up for success.
