A Gift.

A Gift

Every day I marvel at the Gifts which we all so often take for granted. Today I loaded some of the flower pictures into my ‘Blossoms in my Garden’ album, and I looked at the way in which our plants no matter where they are planted, strive to grow, some seeds from my poppies of last year fell in between the cracks on the patio and still they have pushed up to the light.

I think that we could perhaps all learn something from Nature, if we could just all strive to be the best we can be.. Not to be better than, for as I looked around my garden each flower was different and individual, each showing off their own beauty, each turning their heads to follow the Light of the Sun..And yet none was better than the other..

We all too often fall into that human trap of thinking we are better than another, or trying to outdo a neighbour or friend. Becoming jealous of others attainments, looks, and wishing we had some of the good things in life..

When all the good things in life are right here for us to explore and see.

You know we have all the things in life we could possibly want, and yet our human nature our ego tells us it’s never enough.. As our conditioned upbringing of work hard and prosper, to gain the material needs are instilled within us from an early age,, when we started to say ‘I want’..

I lay and listened to the dawn chorus the other morning, and I wondered what our bird brothers and sisters we chatting about… as I made up in my head a conversation..

“Hey Mrs. blackbird in the silver birch, How’s your chicks doing? How many have you this year?.. 4 wow, I’m on my second brood”..

“Hey Mrs Sparrow… there’s a nice patch of greenfly over there on the rosebuds if you care to fly down this morning..And if your fly by that big house on your left, they left some meal worms out and nuts..”

Smiling it made me stop and think as each day they sing away greeting each other and their day, before they get to work to feed their young and themselves.

I had also left out the empty washing line over night and the next morning it was full of hanging spiders webs,  I thought how they had worked all night to spin their webs and here I was in one swoop destroying all their hard work.. as I wiped it clean.

We who take nature in vain so many times, as we squash and ant, or kill a slug, We live ‘World within Worlds’, each of us affecting the other, each contributing to the whole of creation.. For if there were no spiders, ants or slugs and insects, neither would there be the birds to sing and greet us with their dawn chorus..

If there were no bees, neither would we have the crops pollinated and so too our own food supply would be no more..

So.. as I sit here..  I Just strive to be the best I can be… not to compete.. Not to outdo another, But because it makes me feel good. As I need to share..

And that’s all we can do.. is share..

Oh what a different world it would be if only we could share with each other instead of Nations lending to each other putting Monitory values with ‘pay me back with interest’.. As the poorer Nations struggle to make ends meet.

And our societies follow suit as more and more get in debt.

So Follow the Light and Face your Sun.

So Follow your Light.. as you blend your energy with nature and breath in her beauty and see how wonderful she makes you feel, Nature asks only your respect her as she serves you by just being there…

We are all made of the Same Energy!

I give my thanks everyday for all her gifts

And I am so grateful for them as I’m grateful for being Me..

And I am grateful  that you are my friends..

Each of us, carries within us the capacity to change the world in small ways for better or worse. Everything we do and think affects the people in our lives, and their reactions in turn affect others As the effect of a seemingly insignificant word passes from person to person, its impact grows and can become a source of great joy, inspiration, anxiety, or pain. Your thoughts and actions are like stones dropped into still waters, causing ripples to spread and expand as they move outward.. I hope that I can send a few ripples out via the web of life, as we each of us weave the threads together... Welcome to my Sanctuary of Peace and Love... May we each spread our Lights around our World....Sue Dreamwalker
