When we tell people what we do, we often  hear stories of poor career advice in high school (or sadly, no career advice at all).

Study Work Grow does one thing well – we help schools to better prepare their young people for what comes next. So if you’re in charge of student futures, then we are the right people to be talking with. have a chat with us today.

Help them find their vocational identity

The foundation of our philosophy is helping careers advisors, guidance officers, and teachers to empower young people with the knowledge of:

– Who they are and their context, so they can make good career decisions
– What their best work opportunities are and how to find them
– How to maintain and grow their career over time

It’s all part of our comprehensive program of resources you can leverage in your school setting.

Whether you just use our free news and the Cadi Career Cluster tool, or you implement our programs across all of your year levels, you’ll be making a difference with Study Work Grow.

Build core career development skills

Help your students develop the skills they need to navigate their careers, so they feel confident taking their first steps into the world of work. Integrate the Ponder Program into homeroom or mentor sessions across the school or for specific year levels, as this program is specifically designed to build skills like work exploration, making decisions, finding balance, and taking feedback, or use Ready to Work to build job readiness skills.

Foster positive career exploration

Encourage your students to think broadly about the possibilities and explore the world of work through the lens of the CADI Career Clusters. You’ll find introductory lessons, workbooks, and the online quiz, which has been successfully used by over 30,000 students across the world to kick-start the exploration process.

There is no cost for schools for this program.

Plan for the future

Create Career Action Plans that encourage reflection while scaffolding the decision-making process. You can use the Ponder Plans with students from Years 6 – 12 to build planning and decision making skills while also ensuring that all the key points are considered.

Bring careers into the curriculum

Introduce students to hundreds of pathways they may never have considered and make learning relevant with our careers-in-the-curriculum program. AweHunters is designed for every year level, from kindergarten through to senior secondary, and includes materials to support your teachers to use the program resources.

What underpins our programs?

Take a Cluster Approach

The world of work is complex, but when we group people together into Clusters, based on holistic ways of working, everything becomes clearer.

CADI™ stands for Cluster Approach to Development of Identity, and Cadi helps students (and the people who support them) think differently about their options with a common language for careers. It’s a deceptively simple model that brings clarity and confidence to career conversations.

We all fit into six Career Clusters

There are common traits, tasks, and ways of working that transcend all workplaces, and shifting the conversation away from granular jobs and towards flexible, dynamic Clusters gives students the power to explore a range of possibilities with confidence.

Innovators design, engineer, and manufacture things we use in all areas of our lives, from the clothes we wear, to the food we eat, the homes we live in and the roads we drive on.
Makers create and maintain the places where we live and work. They grow crops, build homes, repair vehicles, and keep the power on.

Guardians protect our mental and physical wellbeing. They help us care for our health, and guard against illness and injury.

Linkers help us find, choose, secure, and use things. They can help us with products and physical items, or with the services and support we need.
Informers advise, teach, and guide us so we can manage our legal, social, and financial responsibilities, and participate in society.
Coordinators are the people who plan, prepare, and administer our events, systems and economy. They play a vital role in making sure everything runs smoothly.

How could the Clusters help you?

Power-up your programs

The CADI model is built into our Career Development Program (Ponder), Careers-in-the-Curriculum Program (AweHunters), and Job Readiness Program (Ready to Work), so your whole school can get behind the success of your students.

Use a common language

You’ll find that just about everyone can get a grasp on the CADI Clusters, which means everyone will be on the same page and speaking the same language, whether that’s in the classroom, in career consultations, or at home with families.

Be diverse and inclusive

Avoid common stereotypes and limiting assumptions, and create a welcoming career program for all your students. Schools who serve students with unique learning needs find it easy to use our flexible and inclusive resources.

Get your families on board

It’s so important to bring the whole family into the conversation, but parents are busy and can sometimes feel unsure. With the CADI Clusters, it’s easy for families to get involved in the conversation (and even review their own career choices).

A free Demo is a great way to start the conversation

When you request a demonstration of our platform and programs, we’ll:

  • Find a time that works for you,
  • Learn a little bit about your school, and then
  • Show you through the resources other schools like yours use most often.

If you don’t have time to meet online that’s ok, we can send you plenty of information via email or even have a chat over the phone.

You’ll chat with one of our team, and we’re pretty small, so that means you’ll speak with either Liz or Rob (or possibly both). We don’t really ‘do’ sales, so there’s no hard push, plus Lucy, our Chief Career Practitioner (and Founder) likes giving things away so you’ll probably end up with lots of freebies.
