This is our hackathons' code of conduct.
Please have a look through these before participating.
Team Eligibility
- Teams must be made up of 4 participants maximum.
- All members of the team must be present at the event.
Submission Rules

You must disclose any use of AI tools or models in your projects.
- AI models should not be used to generate content that infringes on intellectual property rights or violates applicable laws.
- AI-generated content must be clearly labelled as such.
- You must produce original work and not copy or plagiarize code, designs, or other materials from external sources without proper attribution.
- Submitting ANY work that has been completed before the hackathon is prohibited.
- Soliciting or receiving inappropriate assistance from individuals outside the hackathon team is considered cheating.
- You must respect the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
- Use of open-source software or libraries must comply with their respective licences.
- Projects must not promote or engage in illegal activities, violence, hate speech, or discrimination.
- You must not attempt to sabotage or interfere with the work of other teams.
Dates & Eligibility
The hacking period of Studenthack will take place from 5th April 12:00pm Saturday to 6th April 12:00pm Sunday. Submission will open at 2 hours before hacking ends.
To be eligible to apply, you must be a student from the University of Manchester and 18+. Applicants which have been accepted via our application form and RSVPed are eligible to submit.
