Rules

This is our hackathons' code of conduct.

Please have a look through these before participating.

Team Eligibility
  1. Teams must be made up of 4 participants maximum.
  2. All members of the team must be present at the event.
Submission Rules
  1. You must disclose any use of AI tools or models in your projects. 
    1. AI models should not be used to generate content that infringes on intellectual property rights or violates applicable laws.
    2. AI-generated content must be clearly labelled as such.
  2. You must produce original work and not copy or plagiarize code, designs, or other materials from external sources without proper attribution.
    1. Submitting ANY work that has been completed before the hackathon is prohibited.
    2. Soliciting or receiving inappropriate assistance from individuals outside the hackathon team is considered cheating.
  3. You must respect the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
    1. Use of open-source software or libraries must comply with their respective licences.
  4. Projects must not promote or engage in illegal activities, violence, hate speech, or discrimination.
  5. You must not attempt to sabotage or interfere with the work of other teams. 

Dates & Eligibility

The hacking period of Studenthack will take place from 5th April 12:00pm Saturday to 6th April 12:00pm Sunday. Submission will open at 2 hours before hacking ends.

To be eligible to apply, you must be a student from the University of Manchester and 18+. Applicants which have been accepted via our application form and RSVPed are eligible to submit.
