Our Values
At Square One Law, we are dedicated to creating a fair, inclusive, and diverse culture that reflects our commitment to ethical and professional behaviour. We prioritise environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles as an integral part of our firm’s culture.
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
Equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) are at the core of our values. We work tirelessly to foster a workplace where everyone feels respected and heard, recognising the value of diverse ideas, backgrounds, and experiences as our greatest assets. Our commitment to ED&I extends to an ever-evolving strategic vision, ensuring that we positively impact our community by treating our clients, colleagues, and connections fairly and respectfully. Internally, we have an ED&I committee where colleagues can share their concerns and ideas, helping us maintain an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace. We are also members of the Neurodiversity in Business (NiB) network, actively championing neurodiverse individuals and removing barriers to their success.
Our Environmental Impact
We work with Sustainable Business Services to record our environmental impact, and this serves as a crucial step towards understanding and mitigating our ecological footprint. By monitoring factors like carbon emissions, waste generation, and energy consumption, we gain insights into how our actions affect the planet. This data enables us to identify areas for improvement, implement sustainable practices, and track progress over time. Additionally, transparency in reporting environmental impacts fosters accountability and encourages individuals, businesses, and governments to prioritise eco-friendly initiatives. By understanding our environmental footprint, we can work towards a more sustainable future for our business and for generations to come.
Certified B Corporation
As a certified B Corporation, we believe in using business as a force for good. You can read more about that by clicking the buttons below.
We see ESG as an important part of our culture and the firm has a continuing commitment to behave ethically and professionally, to contribute to the region’s economic development, to offer a good quality work environment and to support chosen charities and local community projects. We don’t do this to tick boxes. We do this because it is the right thing to do and we want to actively participate in our wider community. Strong communities build strong businesses.
