First things first: new counter for the band AU. It's moving along nicely at this point, and I'm through two of five sections, so it's staying on track length-wise, too, which is nice (if slightly unusual; part four is probably going to explode into some sort of monster at this rate).

Next: today was the most awesome post day, guys, seriously. Usually the post is extraordinarily unexciting and is, quite often, no fun at all, because most days I'm getting bills which, as I'm sure you know, are uncool. But today! Today, the awesome outweighed the bills! I got
-a package of tea and tea-things from delicatale, stjarna1984, and theellibu, and I've already had a mug of the pomegranate tea they've sent, and it's fantastic
-a lovely pair of pale green wristlets from the extremely talented james
-a valentine card from theeverdream
-a season of Smallville on DVD from shinysylver

Add to that the fact that my Gram is doing great (she had her knee replaced a week ago and is doing really, really well) and that I had a pretty good night at work, and yeah, today? Win. :D

Now I just need someone to convince me that I don't want to start writing angsty DC fic. Seriously. Persuade me.

So I've made some progress on the band AU after not touching it for, what, nearly a month? It's moving along, story-wise, and I think I've got all of the setup done by this point. Here's hoping, anyway.

Also, let me just say, guys, that I'm a little tiny bit possibly hooked on DC comics fic? This is entirely shinysylver's fault, completely and totally, because she's been watching Smallville and has been telling me about Lex and Clark and their doomed tragic romance, and if there's one thing I cannot resist it's that. And about a million other things, but shhh. And since it's comics, Lex and Clark have some sort of clone baby (no, really, that's canon), and I've been up to my neck reading fic in which Superboy and one of the Robins are together, and I cannot. put. it. down. This is a cry for help, guys, though I don't know if that means "pull me out of this" or "write me more fic".

Anyway. Back to the band AU, and possibly some other things, too. I have a list.

I feel like I'm really making headway in this story :) I've finished the first two parts out of a planned six. The next three will be the heavy ones, and the last is more an epilogue than much of anything else, but I'm excited because I'm nearly a third done with the word count, and there's three weeks left til rough drafts are due. \o/
