Commander Longfoot by Ample Pear

Here we have a third and quite possibly the most "canon" take on Cmdr. Longfoot, first introduced in the Hearth Star story "Blockade".
The career of Cmdr. Longfoot of Space Fleet, the naval arm of the Galactic Republic, is a case of a gifted officer having their career sabotaged by a jealous rival. Starting as a regular sailor in the Engineering track, Longfoot quickly earned her officer's mark while continuing to serve Space Fleet as an engineer. During her time at the academy though she met and quickly became rivals with a fellow officer. The two had been foes since graduation, ending up on many of the same postings until the rival had enough. One innocent dinner that turned out to be a ploy to embarrass Longfoot later, the rabbit found herself handed her latest "promotion" to commander... along with command of the Silver Pantry, a supply and repair vessel that had become a "dump posting" for where Space Fleet would put it's problem officers.
Bitter yet not one to give up, Longfoot fights to make the best of her fate, finding herself leading a small crew of talented yet similarly disgraced sailors. Little do they know what adventure awaits when they receive the orders to assist in a military blockade of a known Wuff outpost...
