Character and the Hearth Star setting (C) Psion42 2016

--------------------
A stream commission bought from Sweatpants, decided on one of the Leflin twins but was unsure whether it was Sil or her sister Lai or both. And then things took an unexpected turn.... but I digress. Regardless, let me head off some questions I know I will get:
- Who is the older twin? Sil or Lai?: Never decided and doesn't really feel that important given how I picture the characters so probably never will.
- Do they have a thing for each other?: They may tag team a guy they find particularly alluring but that's about it because if there's anything Game of Thrones has taught me, it's that the "Lannister style" is really, really messed up.
- Will we see Lai?: Yes, no, maybe? They ARE identical twins after all. Really the main difference between the two of them is their specialty and subsequent uniform highlights. Same eye color (blue,) same hair (blond,) and same fur coloration (Lola Bunny-style honey yellow)
------------------
Crewman Sil Leflin and her twin sister Lai were a pair of third-generation Space Fleet brats from a family that never produced many officers but maintained a tradition of service none the less. Enlisting as is family tradition and serving on separate ships, Sil trained and received her certification in Drone Control while her sister Lai became familiar in general Operations, both girls would have had fairly unremarkable careers were both not also possessive of a mischievous side that tended to, of course, lead to all sorts of raunchy trouble.
For the most part their frisky attitudes lead to relatively minor infractions... except for when the two sisters found themselves both on shore leave on the same resort world by chance. What followed was a fairly infamous night involving both girls drunk and table dancing in their underwear... in a Star Corps bar.
As Space Fleet and their counterparts have had a rivalry as long as there had been a Galactic Republic, what would have otherwise probably lead to a few weeks in the brig for both sisters instead saw the Leflin twins getting transferred to the nearest available "dumping post" that had an open slot. As fate would have it, a supply vessel named the Silver Pantry had two openings. The ship's new CO, one Commander Longfoot (shown elsewhere,) would become the first Space Fleet officer to have to deal with BOTH twins.
Relationships Of Note:
Cmdr Longfoot- In a word, complicated. Longfoot gets understandably nervous when the twins have free time and takes an understandably hard stance to make sure they behave. On the other hand, the Leflin sisters are exceptionally skilled at their chosen specialties, can handle each other's disciplines reasonably well, and have enough basic technical skills to double as basic engineering assistants if the situation demands it, making them more then worth the trouble they potentially provide.
Humanity- Like many in the Galactic Republic, the Leflin twins grew up watching the holovision dramas of Space Fleet officers and Star Corps troopers encountering alien cultures and seducing whatever was appropriate for the protagonist in question. The idea of being able to "live the fantasy" themselves has certainly crossed their minds but in addition to Longfoot being given a very detailed dossier on the incident that got the twins assigned to her, the process of seducing one of these hardened furless warriors has proven to be more intimidating then the twins first thought...
