Collar 14 -- Numbers and 1 Corinthians

One more chapter of the ongoing story of Fletcher and Graham, which has gone on longer than intended, but it will be far shorter than [i]Expectations and Permissions,[/i] I promise you. There is a 15th chapter already in the eager paws of my Patrons, and which I will do my best to post here in several weeks. As many of you know, I'll be seeking my 7th NaNoWriMo win in November, so I'm going to be taken up with work on another tome. This one will be quite different, with inspiration from Boccacio's [i]Decameron,[/i] Sherwood Anderson's [i]Winesburg, Ohio,[/i] and Ray Bradbury's [i]The Martian Chronicles.[/i] I'll say no more, on the off chance that a certain "Short Nut" (of "Two Cats Lust on PornHub HLII") decides to steal it. Explanations after I'm long gone.

Yay, Fletcher introduced himself to everyone! I could never do that. I'd rather meet and greet with a few at a time or just let the introductions happen as people go by.

With the general form of the mass to hold the parishioners in the pews, Fletcher was able to introduce himself quickly and dash off again. He's becoming less and less of a "homebody" and able to meet others a little more easily now. As you'll see, he's going to be meeting more folk soon enough. Graham and I will look after him. *grins*

Beautiful chapter, and I loved the "Star Wars IV: A New Hope" nod (reference) to the hidden rebel base. ;) ... Graham must love The Beatles, cause "All You Need Is LOVE!" :D

I had a bit of fun with the reference, lol. Thank you for your praise. The foundation of many (all?) religions is, presumably, "God is love." It seems to me that, as with all equations, the reverse must be true: Love is God. To me, this means would gain greatly by looking at any scripture through the eyes of love, seeing not verses that tell us how we should love, but verses that support the fact that we do love. I (and Graham, perhaps) would be considered a heretic, I'm sure. I just feel that some of what we take as holy writ may, in fact, be a bit garbled. That is what Graham is seeing more clearly than ever. Perhaps, unconsciously, I have recalled that verse about "a child shall lead them." I sometimes sense that, in his soul, Fletcher is an angel who has spent time in Hell. He's back now, with much to teach us.

Took me an hour to get thru this. I have been crying for most of that time. It would have been my wife's 48th birthday and I hurt so much.

*hods you gently* May the love and hope that I work to put into my writing keep your connection strong. She but waits for you, good Cheetah; with all my heart, I know this. It is cold comfort in moments like this. Please feel my love, along with others, and especially, feel her love within you. She Is, and I am certain that her love beats strong for you.
