Another Breakthrough: Galaxy
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Sorry for the inactivity of art updates. I was going through some revelations in psychology. Psychology was an eye-opener for my personality, answering even more questions of myself. Finally got my head cleared, and continued drawing with renewed vigour.
Came back and attempted drawing the realistic galactic nebulosity using my instinct. A painstaking process of shading the smallest details, rubbing with a fingertip to create the grainy texture of a galaxy, and using my trusted eraser to create the halo. When I finally felt that it has taken enough shape, I look at it with the full perspective and got a huge surprise.
This was a huge achievement and breakthrough, I managed to recreate a realistic effect. I searched online for tutorials online to see if I was right on track, and it turned out, yes. Everything was self taught, learned from scratch. Shiny stuff and nebulosity effects are easier to recreate in paint, but really hard in pencil. Something not many traditional pencil drawers achieve, a drawing skill discovery I can be proud of. All the focus and sweat involved for the reward.
This is a skill that I will be developing in the future, I believe that I can even use this concept in clouds. Now even my fingertips have become a tool. Looking foward to finishing this piece, next is the tedious shading of the entire picture.
