Jewel Vixens Extra Two: Sweet Birthday
Now it was the month of February. By this point Shale, Sapphire's father was almost fully back to normal. The older Arctic fox had now joined the others in the training room to get the better part of his strength back. The idea was that when it came to missions Shale wouldn't come and stay behind. The older male knew that his daughter would be well taken care of by Kane after all.
That wasn't the only thing as well. A week before Topaz and Nicholas's birthdays came Ruby and Stanley discovered a nice little surprise. She was pregnant. This brought the newly-weds much happiness and joy. The two spent a lot of time talking with Onyx and Granite about being parents. Who better to ask questions then to the oldest and wisest vulpine and vixen in the group? Most of the others were happy as well. Jade on the other hand was having mixed feelings about this. It wasn't like she didn't like children and couldn't interact with them. The petite female just wasn't looking forward to be woken up in the middle of the night by the coming kit or having the laundry machine and drier being hogged all the time. Walter and Integeria had two new ones brought in just for the expecting parents.
A few days latter found Nicholas walking bare chest to Topaz's room. His girlfriend had wanted to go with her boyfriend to the area to work out. The door then opened. "Ah there you are, ready to-" The male's words got cut off as he saw the vixen. She was wearing her usual orange and yellow pants. But the only thing that covered her top was a pink, strapless bra.
"Hey baby," Topaz cooed. The vulpine didn't speak. "Like what's wrong? See something you like?"
"More like I'm seeing something I love." The next thing Topaz knew her boyfriend had swept the vixen off her feet and into his arms. The female squealed and giggled, her tail swishing back and forth.
"Oh you're so strong Nicky," his girlfriend cooed, licking him on the cheek. And loving the fact the vulpine could carry her with ease.
"Wait Nicky?" he asked. "Now that's a name I've not been called in a long time."
"You mean I'm not the first?" asked Topaz.
"Nah. Back in high school there was a social gathering I went to at my church once a week. And there was a female wolf who called me that. She had blonde hair like you and was also a cheerleader. But nowhere near as beautiful."
"Did you like her?"
"Well who didn't?" answered Nicholas. "Yeah I had a crush on her. But it wouldn't have worked out. For one thing she went to a different school than me. And we had nothing in common. It was more of a crush because of her looks. Not like what we have babe." The vulpine kissed the vixen on the forehead, causing her to giggle and her grip to tighten.
"I see. Well I'm not like worried. That was long before you met me."
"I know; I figured I would tell you about it."
"And you so know how to make me feel good. Now carry me to our destination?"
"As you wish," Nicholas whispered.

It was decided that since the two had birthday's two days apart it would be a joint celebration on the 22 which was the vixen's b-day. It was to be held in the same place as Christmas had been. Everyone was waiting for the two to wish them happiness on this day with him turning 22 and her turning 20.
It was decided the presents would be opened first before the cake. A sweet moment would come when Topaz opened her gift from Nicholas. "Here, this one is meant to be worn on special occasions only like dances," the vulpine explained.
The vixen took the box and unwrapped the paper on it. She slowly opened it and couldn't help but gasp. Inside was a silver flower on a necklace. A single deep red topaz gem sat in the middle of it. The female didn't speak for a few moments. "If you don't like it, you can return it and-" began Nicholas but got cut off as his girlfriend tackled him with happiness. She was kissing her boyfriend's muzzle.
"Oh my god, I love it!" the female cried. "I love you!" It took a bit but Topaz eventually allowed Nicholas to sit up.
"I'm glad you to," he whispered. The male put in on the female. She looked so beautiful.
The cake then came. During it Nicholas had one paw around Topaz's waist while she held the cake slices for them. Both fed each other in a cute, loving way. It was a sweet birthday together. And more to be shared between the fox couple.
