Jewel Vixens Extra Four: Anniversary
It then became October. And with that it meant a couple of things were happening. The first was the Ruby gave birth to a healthy female kit. She had her father's fur color, but her mother's eyes, hair, and the same color at the end of the tail, ears, legs, and forearms. She was named Rachel. Although this new little one was a cute kit, there were some prices that came with it. For one thing Rachel kept her parents up at night with her cries. That and the kit had a grip like iron. Of course everyone knew that this was a phase that with time would pass.
Ruby and Stanley of course didn't regret having this child. They would take Rachel wherever they went. Rosa and Mendoza sword to look after Rachel like they would for Alexander and Victoria during the missions. And the new mother vixen did her best to get back into shape for them. After all, none of the vixens or canines knew when Diamond would contact them with new information. But for now the two enjoyed the time they spent with their daughter.
A week latter found Topaz and Nicholas talking. This was the month were a very special thing would happen. "So you like remember what next week is?" asked the vixen.
"How could I forget? I have something special planned for the two of us…" The vulpine kissed the vixen on the forehead. She let out a happy sigh. "Catch you latter baby."
"Bye sweetie!" Topaz cooed back. She leaned against a wall with happiness and a sigh to match just as Jade was coming out of the room she shared with Paul. "I like can't believe next week is our anniversary!" The petite vixen paused in her walk to listen. "I wonder what he had planned? I mean I so don't mind whatever Nicholas has planned. Anything would be fine with me." The blonde vixen then ended up hugging Jade hard who looked like she wanted her friend to let go. "But he like always does the most romantic things!!!" Topaz then let out a happy giggle which turned to a laugh to match as she skipped away, high on love. The petite vixen just turned to continue walking, only to get sneak kissed by Paul.

The night then came and it found the male putting on a green tie. This time his hair was braided but still in a ponytail. As usual the bracelet was on his wrist. "Well here we go," Nicholas muttered to himself, making sure to grab the gift for his girlfriend. The vulpine then walked to her door an knocked on it.
"Like one moment," came the reply. It then opened to reveal the vixen. "Hi there Nicky; oh you're so handsome." He couldn't speak. The female was in a magenta colored dress that had red flower designs on them with pink centers. The neckline nearly went to the waist. Topaz's bracelet was on along with the necklace, and her hair hung loose and was wavy. The dress showed the curves for the top of the body. "What's wrong?" asked the vixen with a smile. "Am I like so beautiful you can't say anything?"
"Sorry, it's just I've never seen a vixen more beautiful than you." She got her boyfriend on the mouth. The two kissed a bit before pulling apart.
"You're such a sweet talker you know that?"
"Well you can thank my parents for raising me right. Ready to go?"
"As I'll ever be," Topaz cooed and kissed Nicholas's cheek. With her arms wrapped around his, both foxes made it to his car. The drive didn't take long and they arrived at one of the nicest restaurants in town.
Both went in with his paw around her waist. The couple were directed to their table and spent the time eating and sharing memories. And wishing for future ones. But it wasn't until the meal was finished that Nicholas did the one thing that would truly touched Topaz's heart. The vulpine directed the vixen out to the balcony like area. The male took the female's paws into his. "So… what are we doing out here honey?" asked his girlfriend.
"Well babe, there's something I want to give you. Unlike the last piece of jewelry I gave you, this one is durable like the bracelets." Nicholas pulled out a small black box and opened it. Inside was a beautiful silver ring that had three topaz gems on it, the same color as the vixen's eyes. And meant to be worn on the ring finger.
"Nicholas…" she gasped. "Is this…?" Topaz couldn't even finish.
"I know what your thinking," the vulpine answer. "It's a good guess, but not quite. This is a promise ring for you."
"A promise ring?"
"Yes." The male slide it onto Topaz's left ring finger. The two admired it there for a moment before their eyes met. "Honey, I realize that after all we've been through and how much I love you I'm not going to want anyone else. While I can see us marrying, now isn't the time. Mainly because enemies are still out there. But this ring I've given you is a promise that one day I will ask you to marry me. It's a commitment I'm willing to keep for the rest of my life."
The vixen felt tears of happiness come to her eyes and some spilled out. "Oh Nicholas…" she cried before kissing her boyfriend. It lasted a good long while before the foxes pulled back. "Oh my god I love you… Thank you so much for this. I love it and that promise it has. I can see it as well. Being married to you." The two then snuggled with him holding her left paw in his left, the right around the female's body.
They got back to their place where they kissed each other goodnight. The next day everyone saw it and found out what the ring was. They all thought it was so romantic. The next couple of months went by and nothing much happened other than Rachel growing bigger. But the new year would be the start of something.
