Star Wars Chapter 29
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Now this chapter is to show how not only I can draw a Lightsaber duel, but also how I can write about one. There will be more in the future. Also the red and green are suppose to be action lines but I kinda messed up on that.

Chapter 29: Dueling
Nicholas and Huraz-Alaz were quiet as they made their way back to the ship. They were only thinking over what they had discovered as they had hugged. While it made them happy, at the same time they knew it was forbidden. But the feelings weren't going to go away. So what could be done? The two weren't going to leave the Jedi just because of love. For now it was best to wait and see.
Both Padawans made it back fine and reported what had happened except the feelings to their masters and the Councils. All were proud of Huraz-Alaz. The young Nelvaanian took it with a smile. The two were then dismissed. Since it was late it was best to get some sleep. However it was sort of an awkward kind of goodbye. Both just thought of the other when it happened and turned their heads shyly when saying their goodbyes. The two slept well but the dreams were filled of each other.
A few days latter found Nicholas walking the halls of the Temple. Since he and his master weren't on any missions, this was fine. Besides, the Padawan needed some time alone, walking and thinking. The male human had managed to get in some meditation time. While this had helped clear his mind and soul of any feelings for Huraz-Alaz, they were still there when he came out of it. "I don't know how things will go with her," Nicholas thought. "I didn't get any visions of us together but I also didn't see any that something terrible would happen if we do…" Of course it wasn't known that any of it would happen.
The male passed by one of the sparring areas and noticed a figure out of the corner of his eye. Looking in found the female Nelvaanian with her lightsaber and practicing some drills. Nicholas found himself stopping and watched as the female continued. The way she moved was more than pleasing to the eye; it was as if the techniques she used came as naturally as breathing. The human watched as Huraz-Alaz flowed from Form I all the way to Form VI. It was a hybrid style, meant to deal with any opponent or situation just like what he had been developing. In addition, punches and kicks, along with Force Pulls and throws were thrown in. Or at least for the latter two, the motion since there was nothing to grapple or throw by the Force. These were also being used by Nicholas to create his fighting style. But one thing he could notice that the female had that he didn't. Her blows were a bit stronger. The male figured it was due to her species and being somewhat wolf like that gave her a slight edge in terms of strength.
Suddenly she stopped, sensing him behind her. With a flick of her fingers, Huraz-Alaz returned the blade to its hilt and turned to see him. "Nicholas?" the Nelvaanian asked, blushing slightly.
"Sorry, I saw you practicing and couldn't help but watch," he replied, leaning against the door frame. "Is that alright?"
"Well no…" the female answered, looking to the side.
"Then I'll let you be." Nicholas began to walk away.
"Wait a moment." He stopped and turned to look back at her. "Actually… I would like a partner is that's alright. I've been practicing some new moves and would like to see how they would work against someone."
"Why me?" the human asked. "What about training in a simulator room?"
"They're taken at the moment," Huraz-Alaz replied. "That's why I came here."
Nicholas went silent for a moment. In truth, he wanted to try some new moves of his own out. But could he really raise his blade against someone he loved, even if it was a sparring session? Then again this might be a good test to see how well he could control his emotions when it came to the female. "Alight then," he replied and entered the room.
The two Padawans took their positions with the hilts of their Lightsabers drawn. With nods the two activated their blades, the hums melding together even if the colors didn't. The light green and yellow orange blades shown brightly. "For now I'll take it easy on her and see what she can do so as to not hurt her," the male thought.
"Shall we dance, good sir?" Huraz-Alaz asked and took a Form III opening stance with the blade pointed down and to her left.
"But of course, my lady," Nicholas responded. His opening pose was one for Form II. The blade he had was pointed out with both hands on the grip.
For a few seconds the two stared at the other, feet slowly shuffling around as both circled. Then with a shout, the Nelvaanian charged in, using the Force to enhance her leaps. Nicholas moved out of the way of her strike with his eyes going wide with shock. "She's fast!" he thought.
He came down with his Lightsaber in a standard strike with both of his hands. The Nelvaanian spun around with a Form V counter. The two blades collided, making the distinct sound when they came together. In that moment the human realized that Huraz-Alaz was just a bit stronger than him in terms of the strength of her blows. Realizing that she could keep up, the human began to press his attack. The sparring match the two had wasn't unlike any both had had before. It was more like a martial hurricane. Attacking, parrying; their wasn't any thought to it. During it the two's feelings for each other was forgotten as they were more focused on the fight, rather than how they felt about the other.
After some intense minutes both began to laugh; one of surprise and amazement. Neither could gain a hold over the other. With that thought in mind, both fought with everything they had until they were gasping for breath and sweat was pouring from their bodies. "Solah!" Nicholas shouted, using a term that had been called during sparring sessions from when he had been a Youngling. "Halt!"
The two fell to the ground. "I… don't… believe it!" Huraz-Alaz stated between breaths. "That was amazing Nicholas! You really are my equal!"
"Same… for you!" he replied. The two then deiced that was enough for one day but every chance they got the Padawans were spar with each other to keep their skill and physical strength up. Sometimes during these practice spars Force based abilities along with punches and kicks would be thrown in. And it was good that these two did for soon war would be coming where it would be needed.
