Nicholas x Rose: Colder Days
Now while this may be shorter, next month it'll be longer and I look forward to that. Also we've got a nice gorgeous view of Rose at last.

Colder Days
During the last several months, the harvest from the early part of that time and late had been gathered. Now all the food was in with plenty of it stored away from winter. And with November, cold weather had come to stay in this kingdom. Every day until that month the morning had frost. But then in November on the 2 end, the castle woke up to find that it had snowed several inches. This kind of weather had come in to stay. And that brought a smile to Rose’s face. Nicholas would learn why when he asked her a couple of days later. “I just love the snow,” she said with a happy smile and eyes closed. “It’s so beautiful despite being cold.”
“Err… right,” the fosky replied, blushing as usual to see her happy smile.
Their routines were still continuing on but next month they would be taking a break when the holiday during that time would come around. So in the meantime Nicholas would study inside one of the parlor rooms of the castle where there was a fire, a window to see the falling snow, and comfy places to sit with tables. The fosky put down the book he was reading and then stretched, figuring it was time for a break when there was a knock on the door. “Come in,” he called.
It opened to reveal it was Rose. With her was a cart that had some snacks and hot drinks on it. “Rose,” the fosky said, blushing again a little. “I thought you were at that trade school.”
“We had a day off today,” the she wolf explained. She had on her usual smile. “I hope I’m not disturbing you.”
“Uh… no, I was about to take a break, come on in.”
The she wolf did and Nicholas could smell her sweet natural scent. “I hope this isn’t a bad idea,” he thought in his head.
She sat down with her sitting across from his spot. “So how is the studying going?” she asked.
Nicholas was somehow able to focus and share that with Rose. “While it hasn’t helped with my memories or remembering more, at least I feel now if I was asked about this kingdom and other things I feel I could confidently tell them anything.”
“Well that’s good then,” the female said. She took a sip of her drink in a cup.
“What about you with the trade school?”
Rose was happy to tell about that. She liked that Nicholas was a good listener and he asked questions. It was another thing that was similar to Dante. The two talked so much that they didn’t realize how much time had passed until seeing the fire in here was getting low. “Oh crap, we should get going,” Nicholas said, realizing what time it was. “It’s getting a little late.”
“Oh! Yeah!” the female replied and stood up quickly.
The fosky saw the way she was moving that Rose was going to trip. “Look out!” he exclaimed as the she wolf began to fall. The male managed to catch her.
“That was close,” Nicholas said, the moment making him not embarrassed to be this close to Rose. “You okay?”
The she wolf realized how close she was in this moment to him and felt his muscles. Rose also noticed how nice it felt to be like this, even more then when they had danced during her birthday. The she wolf then realized what was going on and blushed, her heartbeat a little too fast all of a sudden. Rose pulled back. “Uh… yeah!” she replied. “Excuse me!”
She left in a hurry with the stuff, leaving Nicholas confused. “What was with that?” he asked. “She’s never acted like that before.”
Rose in the meantime went a bit away from that room before stopping and catching her breath. Her heart was still acting that way from earlier. “What… what was that?’ she whispered. “What’s going on…?”
However at dinner what her elder brother talked about something that was coming up, that drove what had happened out of Rose’s mind for now. “We’re going to have a guest coming here?” the youngest she wolf asked.
“Yeah,” Ephriam replied.
“Who are they?”
“They are one of those that visited this place during the tournament,” Axel explained. “One of them has been keeping contact with Ephriam and both me and them have agreed they will visit us during that time during the week of the 25 th.”
“The more the merrier I say,” Nicholas stated. “Who are they?”
The eldest sibling blushed but he smiled. “You might have seen me with an Arctic Fox during it; That’s Isabel,” he answered. “And well… let’s just say I’d like to see her again…”
“It’s wonderful you’ve found someone,” Jenna said with a smile. “She’ll be lucky to have you.” Rose got a grin as she remembered seeing that vixen at the end when the guests were leaving. She was happy her brother had found love.
“Well then in that case I guess we’ll need to prepare for them when the time comes,” Nicholas said. “I feel this is going to be fun.” It would be so and there would be a couple of surprises to when that happened.
