Love for a She Wolf
Swim
Some time had passed since Nicholas realized he was in love with Rose. Now it was June and that meant the hot months for the Kingdom of Magel. In the fields, the green things grew quickly, children were out of school, people were wearing lighter clothes and there was a feeling of summer in the air. That meant fun events were happening. But for the fosky, while he was glad that now things had gotten interesting, there was the situation with the she wolf he had feelings for. He did remember her saying she could be with whomever she wanted. But in honesty the guy hadn’t known her for that long. On top of that, the long-haired male felt such a beauty couldn’t be into him. The age wasn’t a problem as next month, the female would turn 18. For now, it was best to try to get to know her better. In the meantime, Nicholas tried to enjoy himself among the activities and festivities this season had to offer. Practicing with weapons happened as well but there was nothing really to talk about that. His archery had gotten better in such a short amount of time. But there had been a few moments, the biggest one happening not long after Nicholas realized he loved Rose.
He was about ready to take a shot when the she wolf came up behind him with no warning. “You seem a little off,” Rose said causing the fosky to jump and let the arrow fly way off target.
“Whoops!” the female stated, putting a paw to her mouth. “I’m so sorry!”
Nicholas was blushing red. “Don’t sneak up on me like that again!” he growled. “You threw me off! I know in battle that can happen but until I get better, let’s not work on that!” Rose understood and made sure to give the guy plenty of space and not talk until all the arrows were fired.
Right now the fosky was in his room just thinking about where things had gone so far with her. Nicholas remembered the times spent with her already as Rose showed him the things to do around the castle city during this time. Sometimes her older brother and sister joined along with her friends Erin and Amber. The other two canines luckily had two other male friends with them so Nicholas wasn’t with Rose all the time. Still, despite his best effort, the fosky would slip up with hiding his feelings and blush and get nervous around Rose. He hoped that the she wolf wouldn’t notice and while his actions got her a little confused at times, most of the time Rose didn’t. Even so, it didn’t affect their friendship even if Nicholas wished it could be more. For now, he had to bide his time and wait. Even if he didn’t know about the she wolf felt when it came to love and relationships.
His resolve and skills with that would then be tested in the middle of June. The week had been really hot so far. One night while eating, somebody said, “It’s so hot. I wish we could go swimming.” Despite how the buildings here also had ways of keeping those inside cool, outside was a different story.
It was then that Axel spoke up. “I agree,” the father lupine said. “Which is why tomorrow, we’re heading out to the lake nearby for a day there.”
“What lake?” Nicholas asked. Even though he had fully recovered physically, due to not having his memories back, the guy still lived at the castle with the royal family.
“It’s a beautiful lake that’s perfect for swimming here,” Rose explained. “Since we won’t be visiting the ocean and beach in the Kingdom of Ellia just yet, it’s the next best thing. The water should be warm there now for swimming.”
The long-haired guy just nodded. He did know about how this kingdom got all four seasons, this was probably the only time where it got hot enough to swim. The other times the water would be too cold. Nicholas tired his best not to think how Rose was going to look on that day. “That does sound like fun,” he said and took a drink of liquid.
“Well if it’s alright, you should come with us,” the teen she wolf said. That comment was so surprising to the fosky he spat the liquid out in a comical way. The other family members jumped at this as it was so surprising. Rose’s eyebrows went up in surprise. He coughed hard and managed to get his breath back.
“Sorry…” Nicholas said weakly. The fosky then composed himself, acting normal again with his eyes closed. “Well… I don’t want to be like a third wheel on the family time.”
“Oh I wouldn’t mind!” Rose insisted with her eyes now close in a smile. The fosky cracked his open and saw her adorable self-right now and tried his best to ignore it. The rest of her family saw this and exchanged smiles. They hadn’t seen her be like this with a guy since Dante. For Jenna and Madeline, they found it to be cute, the mother more so than the sister. Ephriam, after seeing how the fosky fought, thought he could be a good match for his little sister. As for Axel, he just wanted his youngest child to be happy. And if that meant Nicholas was that, the lupine father wouldn’t argue with it.
“Well… if it’s alright…” Nicholas then said, opening his eyes to look at the others who went back to eating so as to make it seem like they hadn’t noticed anything.
“I’m sure it is!” Rose insisted, looking to her father. “Right daddy?”
“You probably won’t have anything better to do,” Axel commented, looking to the fosky. “It’s no trouble at all. Besides, Ephriam here might like the company of another male other than his old man.”
“It would be nice,” the younger lupine said with a grin.
“Well… okay then,” the long-haired male agreed.
The next day, the royal family and Nicholas left the castle early in the family carriage vehicle that could have all five of the wolves and a couple extras. They had lunch tucked away in big containers. The ladies had their swimsuits under their clothes but the males had theirs on with shirts. The vehicle traveled for a bit out of the castle town, past the farms, and through the green meadows on a path that had been built. Then after taking a turn, the vehicle soon arrived in a dip in the land where there was the lake. It was quiet large with trees clumped together at certain points surrounding it. In the distance were some of the mountains that surrounded this kingdom. “Here we are,” Axel said to Nicholas. “This is Lake Shine. The water can sometimes be reflective like gems. That’s how it got its name.”
“I can see why,” the long-haired male commented. “I think it’s doing that right now.” His glasses and necklace had been left behind in his room. His swim trunks were a light green color.
The vehicle stopped and the one driving stated they would head off to cool down nearby. They left the family and Nicholas alone. “Well, shall we?” Rose asked.
But the fosky didn’t move. He was taking a closer look at the lake. He frowned. “You okay?” Jenna asked, noticing this.
The young male didn’t answer. For some reason, this place seemed familiar. His eyes narrowed as though trying to remember something. Then they went wide as something did come back. In Nicholas’s mind he saw a very similar looking lake but without so many trees. And then a brief flash of an older vixen who looked so much like him but her eye color was different. Nicholas let out a gasp and the royal family noticed. “What happened?” Rose asked this time with concern on her face.
“I’ve remembered something,” the long-haired male replied in shock. He told them what had come back. “And I had a brief memory of a vixen by that lake. She looked so much like me but was older… I think it was my mother…”
“Is that all?” Axel asked and the fosky nodded.
“Hey, maybe some other locations will help!” Rose stated with a grin. “That’s great you’ve remembered something! And of a family member!”
“But it still doesn’t really answer any questions,” Nicholas commented with a frown. “I don’t know where that lake I remembered is or who that vixen was. I’m not even fully sure if it’s my mother. But I have a gut feeling it is.”
“Well cheer up!” Ephriam said. “Let’s just enjoy today and worry about that later.”
“Yeah, you’re right.” They all gathered up the things that would be needed and found a spot.
The ladies went off to a more private area to take off their clothes while the guys got things ready and their shirts off. Nicholas of course being a young male had the muscles in the chest, arms, and abs departmetn. The females soon returned. “This really is a great day!” Rose said with a smile. “This is one of my favorite places to go!”
“Oh my god…” Nicholas thought, seeing her and blushing hard. The teen she wolf, almost 18, was wearing a light orange colored bikini with a very short sarong tied around her left hip. It was a perfect fit on Rose’s body, showing how gorgeous and sexy she was. Almost legally an adult and already so beautiful. “She’s… she’s…”
Luckily Rose hadn’t seen him checking her out and luckily for the fosky, her brother distracted him by saying he needed help with something. The day was actually a fun one and Nicholas, while he stole glances at Rose, he was able to distract himself enough by talking and learning more about her as she did with him. Even if only one memory had been recovered. The she wolf did learn he loved to swim and was a strong one. And also noticed how his body looked with the muscles. For now, it didn’t affect her as hers had with him. It was late afternoon when the family left and headed back home. Nicholas had to admit that it had been worth it to go with Rose and her family to this. And so, the rest of this month passed. But next month would be her birthday with more fun events. And an unexpected visit from another family member.
