lolita coordinates

2026 apr 06

wore to tulip exhibithion at yokohama park
styling focus: spring floral but not too floral
main piece: metamorphose jewel butterfly lucky pack skirt, 2011 (assumed)
brands: metamorphose, baby the star shine bright, angelic pretty, by the lake, shirley temple, alice and the pirates, MODO

thoughts after wearing:this coord has a bit more modern styling than i've been wearing lately, but still firmly feels like "me." at first, i was considering wearing flower kitten today, but something about wearing a flower print to a flower garden felt a little costume-y, so i opted for butterflies and a more subtle floral motif instead.
the cutsew bunches up kinda awkwardly around my waist when tucked into the skirt, but looked sloppy untucked... i may only wear it under JSKs from now on.
other than that, i was really happy with this styling. i walked around this quite a bit today and enjoyed myself. (✿◠‿◠) btw, i'll be putting up a special gallery page from the garden on my flowers page sometime soon.

2026 apr 05

wore to yarn shop wander around various places
styling focus: easter... kinda...
main piece: btssb scallop hem skirt, 2026
brands: baby the star shine bright, angelic pretty, MODO

thoughts after wearing: feels like kind of a long time since last i wore lolita?? i threw some bunnies and a cross lace headdress into this coord to meet the legal required minimum easter-ness to call it an easter coord.
this coord was simple and very comfortable, i ended up spending a lot of time out and about in it. it includes a lot of knit elements, partly bc i just love lolita knits, but also because i was planning to go to 80 year old yarn shop in tokyo fairly near where i live. the shop turned out to be closed when i got there. i ended up just wandering around that area a little because it was new to me, then more wandering near the station by my house omw home. that first picture, with my three weed smoking pachinko playing girlfriends, may be my new favorite photo of myself.

2026 mar 19

wore to shop at closet child and btssb
styling focus: spring!
main piece: btssb sweet check skirt, 2006
brands: baby the star shine bright, handmade by me, MILK, chocochip cookie, angelic pretty, MODO

thoughts after wearing: i wanted to go down to the city to closet child to pick up a particular item with my mercari balance, and i figured i might as well wear lolita! glad i did, i had a lot of fun finally getting to wear my handmade headdress out. i had shoved this camisole in the sales box last year, but i decided to keep it a few weeks ago after trying it on again. the color wasn't nearly as overpowering as i had remembered.
the in store price for the item i wanted at CC was half the online shop, so i took my newfound surplus budget over to the local baby shop for some hairclips too. one of the baby shopgirls complimented my purse, and was surprised when i told her it's old baby

2026 mar 17

wore to the aquarium
styling focus: clione inspiration
main piece: btssb shirring jsk, 2005
brands: baby the star shine bright, angelic pretty, antique beast, vivienne westwood, see you yesterday

thoughts after wearing: i've had this coord knocking around in my head for a while; i love clione. my favorite aquarium said they had gotten some in, but i guess it was time limited, because they weren't there when i went.
i still had a good time at the aquarium, and i felt cute in this coord these are the same shoes i wore to the strawberry festival that broke and ruined my day; i'm pleased to report that my repairs held up really well.

2026 mar 17

wore to the pokemon center in yokohama
styling focus: end of winter
main piece: metamorphose velveteen high waist ribbon jsk, 2004
brands: metamorphose, baby the stars shine bright, alice and the pirates, MODO

thoughts after wearing: i was initially considering wearing my sweet check skirt today, since i recently made a headdress to match it. but i figured my window for wearing velvet is shrinking, so i might as well make the most of that. another simple coordinate here, it was very comfy for walking around yokohama on a crowded weekend.
2026 feb 25

wore on an outing in guam
styling focus: beachy without an ocean or mermaid print
main piece: angelic pretty gradient frill jsk, 2010
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, dream girl, handmade by me

thoughts after wearing:i really find myself favoring these deceptively simple coords lately, with not a lot of individual pieces, but each piece is pretty elaborate. i made the little plumeria hairpin to add a little tropical vibe and tie it in with the floral bolero. this outfit was comfortable for strolling around the area in and near my hotel, and i felt cute in it (◠ܫ◠✿) this dress is my absolute favorite in my entire wardrobe, and i feel happy that i can coordinate so differently each time i wear it.
side note, guam is beautiful, i'll have blog and flower page updates very soon. my hotel looks like a dead mall in the lobby and downstairs, which of course i love lol.

2026 feb 21

wore to fabric store
styling focus: spring is coming....
main piece: angelic pretty polka dot sherbet jsk, 2010
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, handmade by me

thoughts after wearing:there's not really much to the styling of this coord, but i enjoyed wearing it nonetheless. now that i live somewhere with seasons, i've discovered the magic of buttoning detachable sleeves to garments other than what they came from haha.
i forgot to doucment the cutsew i'm wearing here for my wardrobe, despite buying it almost 2 years ago. i couldn't find it on lolibrary and it never made it into my wardrobe spreadsheet. i've been researching it, and have dated it to around the mid-1990s, which would make it the oldest lolita garment in my wardrobe.
my favorite thing about this coordinate is how the cutwork lace on the cutsew, JSK bodice, and socks all echo each other.

2026 feb 15

wore to yokohama strawberry festival 2026
styling focus: committing strobbery
main piece: btssb velveteen babydoll jsk, 2005
brands: baby the stars shine bright, angelic pretty, handmade by me

thoughts after wearing:the sun is coming back out, and so are my pastel colors. i made the strawberry ribbon pin quickly the night before, and i'm happy with how it came out. i've really been into crocheting fruit lately as a preventive measure against spending stupid amounts of money on AP and baby knitwear with crocheted fruit
unfortunately my shoe broke and lowkey ruined my day, but that's not this coord's fault. i still like what i styled, although i think i would've liked to add more strawberry into it.

2026 feb 08

wore to wonder festival winter 2026
styling focus: first time loliting in snow ?!?!
main piece: metamorphose tartan check skirt, 1999
brands: metamorphose, baby the stars shine bright, MILK, cospa

thoughts after wearing:had to break out the ultraman jesus piece for wonfes, which was ultraman/ultra kaiju themed this time. this coord was comfortable for all day walking around the wonfes halls, but a little too cold for sitting outside even with the coat. i got some fleece lined faux sheer tights for today, which i'm very glad i did. this was my first time wearing lolita in the snow, and in fact my first time experiencing nice fluffy snow instead of freak ice storms heh.
2026 feb 01

wore to 'baby, the stars shine bright alice and the pirates brand-new collection in tokyo' 2026 fashion show (!!!!!)
styling focus: baby archival pieces + as many bugs as i could cram into the coordinate
main piece: btssb ribbon bouquet camisole and skirt, 2003
brands: baby the stars shine bright, alice and the pirates, anna sui, sasaco, naga, handmade by me

thoughts after wearing:goddamn i love lolita fashion so much, the baby/pirates show was incredible and my heart is so full. i'll put a spotlight up with my photos and videos soon.
everything in this coord was baby either baby or alipi except my bloomers and some of the accessories. i made the choker myself to match the coord special. i was worried about being cold coming home after dark, but the venue was a comfortable temperature and i spent next to no time outside bc it was both connected to shibuya station and a straight shot up the train from my house.

2026 jan 07

wore to shop at closet child harajuku
styling focus: dreamy and watery vibes
main piece: angelic pretty twinkle mermaid jsk, 2006
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, viviene westwood, feiler, MODO

thoughts after wearing: kinda threw this together tbh. i wanted to wear twinkle mermaid, because i recently got a twinkle mermaid promotional postcard that inspired me. if none of ur blues match, then all of ur blues match ( • ᴗ - ) ✧
2026 jan 03

wore to the local electronics/hobby store
styling focus: comfortable coord for an outing to city center
main piece: metamorphose tartan check skirt, 1999
brands: metamorphose, baby the stars shine bright, nonoyamaaki, GRL

thoughts after wearing: i went out today to check if my local kojima x bic camera had any good sales on plastic model kits. they didn't, but i still had a nice outing! i know this coat isn't strictly lolita, but i needed another light layer and liked it with this coordinate. i like its frumpy silhouette with old school lolita, and as you can probably tell from many of my other coordinates, i like bringing in some avant garde and mecha elements to my outfits.
while walking back home, i passed a little girl and her dad, and i heard the kid say 「ねーパパ見て、ゴスロリ」("hey dad look, a goth-loli") lol

2025 dec 30

wore out shopping for model kit supplies
styling focus: comfortable coord for an outing to city center
main piece: metamorphose velveteen sundress jsk, 1999
brands: metamorphose, baby the stars shine bright, GRL

thoughts after wearing: i don't know what temperatures are lmao. i took the mantle off as soon as i got outside, and kept it in my bag the whole time i was out. i buttoned detachable sleeves from a cardigan onto my blouse for extra warmth, and i was really happy with the material contrast effect too.
2025 dec 07

wore during taking the JLPT
styling focus: comfortable outfit for taking a long test
main piece: btssb shirring jsk, 2004
brands: baby the stars shine bright, vivienne westwood, angelic pretty, alice and the pirates, MODO

thoughts after wearing:loliting two days in a row?!?! i styled this comfy coord to take the JLPT (japanese language proficiency test). i had to take off my heattech layer during the break because the classroom was sweltering, but other than that, this was perfect while i had to sit for a 3.5 hour test.
2025 dec 06

wore around yokohama on winter international lolita day
styling focus: snowy fairy coord for winter ILD
main piece: angelic pretty royal fizz jsk, 2004
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, metamorphose, MILK, jennyfax

thoughts after wearing:capelet over a bolero feels crazy, but i'm fighting for my life with the concept of winter here lol. the second i got outside of heated department stores and public transit, i was freezing. (˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥) but other than that, i enjoyed wearing this coord! made sure to take a picture under closet child's shitty lighting so i can become one with their products.
2025 nov 16

wore on a trip into town to look at christmas lights
styling focus: simple old school
main piece: metamorphose velveteen bustier, ca. 1999 | metamorphose gobelin print skirt, 2018
brands: metamorphose, baby the stars shine bright, GRL

thoughts after wearing:this bustier is perfect for the weather right now. between that and some thick tights, i was perfectly comfortable walking around outdoors, but not too hot inside a department store with heating either.
2025 nov 16

wore to ak-garden, a bishoujo plastic model expo in tokyo
styling focus: comfortable but still impactful styling, hints of cyber/mecha
main piece: metamorphose torchon lace velveteen skirt, 2000
brands: metamorphose, baby the stars shine bright, angelic pretty, chuomachi tactical crafts, nonoyamaaki

thoughts after wearing:recently treated myself to these brand new btssb shoes after a disastrous used meta shoe purchase on mercari, and i'm glad i did. i walked about 10,000 steps through tokyo today, and my feet don't hurt nearly as much as they often do with my other lolita shoes. also the little old lady who lives across the street from me said i was kawaii this morning, which is all the feedback i could ask for ( ꈍ◡ꈍ)
2025 nov 06

wore into tokyo to see a friend
styling focus: comfortable for long train travel
main piece: angelic pretty gathered bust jsk, ca. 2001-2003?
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, chuomachi tactical crafts, mikio sakabe/grounds

thoughts after wearing:i picked this severely last minute bc it was more sunnier than i expected, and the outfit i had originally chose was gonna be too warm. this was perfect when the sun was out, but i got a little cold after dark. otherwise i think it's Fine™, i put some cyber elements bc me and my friend were going to a mecha musume model shop we both like.
i feel like i need to replenish the black fall/winter side of my wardrobe a bit, now that i live somewhere with an actual fall and winter. i'm lacking in black shoes bc my meta platforms are still in storage overseas. i ordered some bxw heart buckle shoes from baby that i'm still waiting for them to ship, and kinda want to buy some other less sweet black shoes as well. we'll see!

2025 nov 03

wore out shopping
styling focus: how the hell do i dress for season
main piece: maxicimam torchon lace skirt, 2001
brands: angelic pretty, maxicimam, metamorphose, MILK, baby the stars shine bright, GRL

thoughts after wearing:it's the time of year when the black rotates to the front of my wardrobe. i'm not really sure how to dress for the fall weather here yet. i sewed buttons into this cutsew so i could use detachable sleeves with it. between those and the boots, i think i got it just right for the temperature, since i was really comfortable when i went out shopping. i'm happy with this coord; it's simple but feels very "me."
2025 sep 27

wore to a mecha musume model kit event
styling focus: mecha elements
main piece: btssb scallop hem jumperskirt, spring 2024
brands: baby the stars shine bright, angelic pretty, vivienne westwood, chuomachi tactical crafts, nonoyamaaki

thoughts after wearing:i really regret wearing these shoes, but they were perfect for the look. i went to a shopping/hobby event that took place clear across town, and was spread across 3 floors of a venue, so i did a lot of walking and stair climbing and my feet are now killing me.
but otherwise, i'm really happy with how this coord came out. the styling isn't the most interesting in the world, but i wanted to keep the base coord fairly orthodox so that bringing in the very non-lolita mecha accessories wouldn't be too conflicting.
my pose in the full outfit shot is utterly dripless because i'm not great at posing to begin with and i couldn't think of how else to pose with my mecha tatto visible. rip lol

2025 sep 07

wore to a shopping arcade near my house
styling focus: cicada accessories
main piece: metamorphose gobelin print skirt, fall/winter 2012
brands: metamorphose, baby the stars shine bright, sasaco, modo

thoughts after wearing:i girl mathed my way into buying this skirt from closet child recently.. i had been considering the OP that meta put up for preorder this week, but i would have wanted to get it altered shorter. this used skirt was the same price as the new OP and suited me as-is, so i went for it. i'm glad i did! i had been wanting a gobelin piece for a while. i was happy with this coord, it was nice and comfortable for a summer evening outing.
2025 aug 24

wore to angelic pretty yokohama
styling focus: color balancing pink accents
main piece: angelic pretty jewelry jelly switching jsk, spring/summer 2010
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, antaina

thoughts after wearing: it's been way too long since i wore lolita. i feel like i've been in a slump lately, and jewelry jelly, my favorite print, always cheers me up. i feel like this coord is less boring than the last time i wore this jumperskirt, and i'm really happy with the pink accents i worked in throughout the coord, to echo the drained cherries on the print. bringing the AP shopping bag style tote to shop at an AP store is camp......
2025 aug 02

wore to craft store complex yuzawaya kamata
styling focus: jewelry jelly cutsew
main piece: angelic pretty jewelry jelly cutsew, spring/summer 2010 | btssb snow dot skirt, spring 2025
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, MODO

thoughts after wearing: i feel like for this casual coord, the top and skirt are equally 'main.' this cutsew is one of my faves because it has print elements from jewelry jelly, in vibrant screein printing that hasn't faded like the printed dresses and skirts. my favorite part of the coord is my hair accessories.. i got this satin headbow from wunderwelt a while back, and i was really excited to wear it out for the first time. when i picked it, i specifically had jewelry jelly in mind, because it has such a glossy quality to it that i think looks great with the jelly illustrations. also, i love these little heart charms that AP used back in the day.
2025 aug 02

wore to angelic pretty yokohama
styling focus: summer mamegoma
main piece: angelic pretty gradient frill jsk, spring/summer 2010
brands: angelic pretty, san-x, axes femme kawaii

thoughts after wearing: weirdly enough, this was actually my first actually wearing lolita to the AP store i visit most frequently. tbh i usually find the AP release experience pretty overwhelming without all the makeup and layers of clothes. but i figured i might as well show the shopgirls at some point that i'm buying stuff to wear, and not just sell online or smth luckily since i didn't go during the lottery period, and i was going for something other than the big ticket popular set this week, everything went smoothly and easily. the shop staff are always so pleasant
it was really hot today, around 37 degrees. but gradient frill is made of light cotton fabrics for both the lining and outer material, so it wasn't too bad. i kinda regretted the long sleeves, but i was too happy with how i styled this outfit to change a thing. my rechargeable handy fan and UV cut parasol were lifesavers today.
this is one of my favorite coords i've styled in quite a while!

2025 jul 24

wore to the peach-pit 25th anniversary special art exhibition
styling focus: inspired by ren from dears
main piece: baby the stars shine bright tiered karami babydoll jsk, spring/summer 2007
brands: baby the stars shine bright, angelic pretty, by the lake, antaina
thoughts after wearing: once again, baby's karami saves my ass in hot weather. it was 35° today, and between this light dress, a personal electronic fan, and a UV resistant parasol, i managed to keep from getting overheated.
the color palette of this coord is inspired by ren from dears, a manga i adore. i also wanted to wear 2000s lolita (which i do most of the time anyway, but still...) because the exhibition was for 2000s era art works.

2025 jun 22

wore to go model kit shopping lol
styling focus: light and breezy
main piece: baby the stars shine bright karami babydoll jsk, spring/summer 2008
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, MODO
thoughts after wearing: this was surprisingly comfortable in 32° weather! the open weave bolero, light karami jsk, and no blouse really worked for me. the length and shape of babydoll JSK allows me to get away with no petti and no bloomers (scandalous!) to reduce layers and heat. i was able to ride the bus, ride the train, and walk around for a couple km without getting overheated. i definitely could not have worn lolita at this time of year in the cities i lived before, even in a coordinate this light and breathable.
i put a shot of the fragrance i was wearing, thought that'd be a fun new thing heheh. i started using fragrantica lately, and want to post to fragram sometimes

2025 jun 07

wore on international lolita day to mizonokuchi area
styling focus: little pops of pastel color
main piece: angelic pretty soap bubbles jsk, spring/summer 2023
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, lumiebre, MODO
thoughts after wearing: took more pics than usual because it's ild! honestly this one was kinda low effort and simple, as it's already 27 degrees and humid out. the layers of polyester were bearable in this weather thanks to the cotton bolero and no blouse. i feel like my waistline gets obscured by the cut of dress, unfortunately a common issue for me because i have a short torso and large bust. i may try to move the strap buttons to help with that. otherwise, i like how i styled this jsk! it still felt festive despite the simplicity.
i believe this is my first time wearing lolita on summer ild, and only my second ild in lolita altogether.

2025 may 29

wore to metrowalk shopping center, zhongli, taoyuan, taiwan
styling focus: centering this hideous (affectionate) fugly (positive) skirt
main piece: metamorphose jacquard skirt, fall/winter 2000
brands: metamorphose, baby the stars shine bright, angelic pretty, MODO

thoughts after wearing: jacquard on a tropical island in late may was a mistake lol. but i do still like how i styled this, even if it was unseasonal.
2025 april 17

wore to yokohama pokemon center/yokohama station area
styling focus: y2k-style purse with 2000s-style lolita
main piece: angelic pretty romantic symphony skirt, apron part detached
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, jennyfax, sugarbones, q-pot

thoughts after wearing: this was like the perfect casual running around coord. i'm really glad i got that skirt, and i have a feeling i'll be wearing it a lot this summer.
2025 march 23

wore to kawasaki station/kawasaki atré department store on a sunny spring day
styling focus: avant garde patent contrast color bag and shoes
main piece: angelic pretty jewelry jelly switching jsk
brands: angelic pretty, baby the stars shine bright, MILK, nonoyamaaki, versace jeans, jennyfax

thoughts after wearing: jewelry jelly is kind of my go-to when i don't know what to wear, since it's my favorite print. i think this coord is a bit boring despite the avant garde shoes and bag, but it's a comforting and familiar boring, like reading a book you've already enjoyed several times.
