The spring is in its full bloom, and I finally managed to complete the video of my February ski trip to Melchsee Frutt, a small ski resort in Central Switzerland. I hope you all enjoyed this trip down memory lane.

Jungfrau Region is with its majestic alpine scenery one of my favourite regions of Switzerland. It is an area I always like to return to. After a great sledging trip to Grindelwald few weeks ago, my husband and I returned to this region two weeks later to go skiing to our favourite slopes of the region Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen.

Skiing the Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen slopes is always fun
After our trips to Zermatt in November in December my husband and I were showing our photos and praising the beauty of Zermatt village to our families. My father, who is a avid skier, was fascinated. Every winter he comes to visit us in Lucerne to spend some quality time together. Impressed by our Zermatt experiences he asked us, if we could organise ski trip to this lovely village. Of course, we did.

Snow covered Zermatt
One of the perks of living in Lucerne in Switzerland is the proximity of many great Alpine ski resorts. Previous Sunday I went to explore the slopes of one of those resorts Flumserberg.

Flumserberg is mid-sized resort located in the scenic mountains above Lake Walen (Walensee) between Zürich and Chur. Conveniently located app. 45 minutes from Zürich and easy accessible by car and public transport (train station is app. 200m from the cable car station) is very popular destination for skiing. On the busiest days of the year it can get really packed. Continue reading
What better way to spend sunny February day in Switzerland than to hit the ski slopes? Previous Saturday my husband and I did just that. We drove to Engelberg, a charming alpine village in Canton Obwalden, to do some skiing. It was not our first visit of Engelberg, but it was our first time skiing there.

The views from the highest point of Engelberg’s ski area Mt. Titlis (3020 m) are amazing
My husband and I both loved our trip to Zermatt in November. Therefore we didn’t hesitate much when our friends invited us to join them on their ski trip to Zermatt. As it was a weekend after my birthday, we also celebrated my birthday at the snowy slopes of Zermatt and Cervinia.

Morning view to Zermatt & Matterhorn
A month ago, when October turned to November, my husband and I went to the charmingly cute mountain village of Zermatt in canton Wallis/Valais to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

Matterhorn above Zermatt
Zermatt is beautiful mountain village. Likewise many other Alpine villages, it is full of charming peak-roofed wooden buildings. What differs Zermatt from other villages and makes it special is Matterhorn – iconic pyramidal mountain that can be found on every box of Toblerone chocolate and countless Swiss postcards.

If you are into winter sports, Switzerland is the perfect destination to visit. For second year in a row, my boyfriend and I took advantage of 2-for-1 offer and spent our January ski-weekend holidays in Jungfrau Region in Bernese Oberland.
