It's hard to say anything when a tragedy like this happens; even harder to comprehend what people have to go through.
This community helps people come together and help.

I'm trying to help, though I've never done anything like this before (I'm a little anxious), but hoping I can do something now. I'm offering graphics here and beaded jewelry here.
I also wanted to mention that the lovely
ayesakara - who's from Pakistan - offers fanfic in the bidding here and here. And she's GOOD. :-)

But I can't, now. It's got the axe from NBC.
Now, normally there's something entertaining about watching dumb people doing dumb things. But this, here, is not even remotely funny. Why do they start production, get six episodes done, push the season premiere from September to October just to cancel it before even the first episode airs?! I mean, it's something so totally beyond my comprehension, I can't even believe it yet. Why do you say something Monday and the total opposite Tuesday? Just to make a fool of yourself, NBC?
Southland was critically acclaimed (which doesn't always mean it's also good, but this was), and of course fans are dreaming about some good cable channel picking it up and continuing production, but I suspect how likely that is. :-( Yeah, not very likely.
I swear, I'm so infuriated - it was the show I most awaited this season, yeah, after only seven episodes - that I'm considering to make a Twitter account. Can you imagine that? And why don't I have a "stupid" icon? Just in case I'll need it more than once.

Firstly, there are six icons - Kenneth Parcell, all of them, and I feel too listless to do anything but cut 100x100 and adjust a bit after making the screenshots, but if anyone (I'm not pointing fingers,
soitg0es ) feels like adding text (there are so many good quotes to add, people), do it. Or, obviously, anything else as well. They're up for abuse.

Secondly - I know there are not many people on my flist who care much about the new Star Trek movie - but what is this new awful rumour about JJ Abrams not directing the sequel?! (Apparently, Paramount seems to be in trouble with marketing a film as much awaited as Shutter Island - there could've been an Oscar for it, and they still postponed release with months. There's no one in the world who could explain this mindboggling... thing with money to me.)
I hate waiting for sequels. I waited a lot for The Dark Knight, and as it turned out, it wasn't as good as Batman Begins. I liked it, yes, Heath Ledger was absolutely fantastic as Joker, and I love dark stories - but. But. The anticipation exceeded the quality of the film, IMO - or, better say, in my case.
There are two other examples - the two Matrix sequels that shouldn't even have been done, and Lord of the Rings, where I felt inconsolable to come out of the cinema after seeing The Return of the King that it's already over.
That is to say, I'm very cautious saying I can't wait for the next Star Trek movie. I couldn't stand to be disappointed - I'd be more okay watching this one twice as many times instead of that. I don't even know what to wish for.
Yes, that was an entry. *scratches head*

I make comparisons all the time. I bet I get on people's nerve with it. I don't know why that is, but I kinda roll everything together, I mean, everything that belongs together - mostly just in my head. But look at these if you like to smile.

I wanted to share these quotes with whoever's interested (whomever? oh, English language). Actually, I just wanted these to be in my journal, because putting everything from
ontd_startrek to memories makes it hard to find anything.
So now, I just copy and paste from here.

This totally reminds me of the Gale picspam I once made (on a community, so I don't even know where it is anymore) to prove how Gale behaved like a living magnet with friends.
Now somemindless entartainment Chuck and Burn Notice.
