What is simplelimit about?
It's about simple, high-quality, non-fandom icons. That means no Lost, no Alias, no Harry Potter, no Buffy, no Full Metal Alchemist. No fandom (this includes celebrity posts as well).

Whatever do you mean by simple?
By simple I mean ascetic, clean and simple. NOT cluttered with textures, brushes, obnoxious text, etc. Here's an example.

High quality?
High quality means that blurry jpegs won't get you in. Example:

Anything else?
Well - interesting cropping, colouring and *simple* embellishments are well seen.
No animations, sorry.

If not fandom... then what?!
Art (not fanart, though). Stock images. Sky is the limit. Animals, landscapes, flowers, objects, whatever you want. A few links:

Are fake cuts OK?
Yes.
As for linking to a locked journal/community - you can do it provided that you clearly state that the post you're linking to is flocked. See this post for more info.
