I was trying to help starling_1 out through email, but thought maybe a tutorial would work better?  Either way, here it is.  I'm not sure if it'll be helpful to anyone else, but hopefully!  There's a couple ways to do this, but this is just the way I've found that works for me.

Sky Objects Tutorial

ETA -- Tutorial updated to show better handling for night time pictures.

I so often see people wanting to know how to place two sims close together when they are using poseboxes, and since the previous tutorial I had made for using the invisible magisplay tray and OMSP's was done so long ago, and there is so much more in the way of cc available for posing sims for pictures, I thought it was about time to update things a bit and hopefully make it even easier to follow. This guide covers the very basic steps for placing your sims close together, and how to place them at different heights.

Even though I know that as soon as I post this, there will be suddenly be heaps more great things to add, I'm going to tempt fate and do it anyway.

A couple of great tutorials:
Lachesis' Spot Coloring Your Pictures
Veron Asher's Posing Without Poseboxes Part II: Sitting
(Not to mention the fantastic ones Mao has been posting here!)

More poseboxes of course:
Senna Pose Box
SynapticSim's Flying Poses
Nonuna' Posebox 1

Something I had been waiting patiently for and its now here:
Trendy Hendy's Walk Hack

And I can't leave the Sims3 folks out, you might want to bookmark this section at MATY. I'm not even planning on getting the game and I have been watching this with keen interest.

Just a mini-tutorial on saving your images and formats.  I see a lot of people using .pngs and I am kind of at a loss as to why.  Hopefully this will help those not in the know out with the whole image size/etc issue.

Just a quick post to mention that I have updated the Facial Overlays post with a few more images and finally put together a quick and dirty guide for using them with poseboxes and animboxes.

I also want to mention a few other tutorials that have popped up recently that you might want to take a look at if you haven't had the chance:

Veron Asher's Posing Without Poseboxes
Ndainye's Please Help Me I'm Falling!
Dicreasy's Just Like Falling off a Ladder

What would a resources post be without a couple new poseboxes:
Giu's Posebox 2
Daislia Pose Box 1.1

And finally - the CEP has been updated!

Final part, hooray!  This was harder than you'd think.  I had to wrack my brain, trying to sort of analyze my process, since I rarely think about the things I do... (I am the equivalent of a bull in a china shop!)  Anyway, here you go.  Hopefully it's helpful in some way, shape, or form!

Basics of Lighting - Part II

If there is anything else you'd all like a tutorial on, please let me know!  I'm not so good at being an idea person...

Okay, I've been struggling with this one for a day or two now, but I've finally done it... or started it, rather.  I have no idea why you people like my dark pictures, but I'm not about to complain.  :b  goodbye_sun  came up with the idea and starling_1 helped me narrow it down.

Part I covers outdoors lighting in the dark.  Hopefully my rambling is of some help.

Yes, it's another tutorial.  gayl  wanted to know about masks.  So, here you have a mask tutorial.  It is not a beginner tutorial, unfortunately.  You'll need to know a bit about layers/etc, but it should be easy enough to follow.  It's rather short.  As always, any questions, please feel free to ask me!

The lovely gfitz asked me about the 'dream quality' of the shots in my last Memoria/Simfic50 update and I gave her a brief little rundown, but decided a tutorial would better illustrate it.  She expressed interest in sharing it with others and goodbye_sun  expressed interest in having it here, so here you go.  Hopefully you find it useful/helpful.  It's just a humble little thing.  :)

Dreamy Haze Tutorial

I have been playing around a bit lately to see what other animations could be used as part of animation overlays. I found a few more interesting ones, and then realized, all the base animations could all be located in one hacked object (instead of the three I was using at first). So this time you are going to need the Photo Poses Box along with Decorgal’s Sitting Talk/Conversation Hack and pfish's Invisible magisplay tray.
